Story: 9/10 cartoony and very metal-focused at the same time, but very entertaing as short as it is

Gameplay: 7/10 simple/very fun hack'n'slay combat mixed with tedious RTS parts (i wish it was all hack'n'slay)

Controls: 8/10 perfect on the action side (you cant jump tho), mediocre on the RTS parts. the deuce handles alright too

Graphics: 8/10 textures arent great at all but the colours are amazing, very beatiful scenery & landscapes

Sound: 9/10 great selection of metal overall, a few songs suck but "am i evil?" makes up for it again

Wow Factor: 8/10 pretty cool introduction

Replay Value: 6/10 pretty low unless youre going for trophies but i recently played it a 2nd time just for fun

Multiplayer Experience: --- no idea i never really played online

Rent Or Buy This Game? i'm just gonna say Buy so tim shafer gets more money to make new games

Your Personal Verdict & Your Final Score: 8/10 i would give more if the story wasn't so short, also i didn't like the RTS. But besides that the game is quality!

I think this game is really awesome! I love Jack Black and I'm a huge Tenacious D fan, so instantly I loved the concept for this game. So why did I give it an 8 and not a 10? After taking every aspect of the game into consideration I think it could have been better... but a kick-ass game nonetheless.

Story: 6/10 - The story for this had real potential but they blew it with a weak ending and several plot points that make no sense .

Gameplay: 6/10 - The gameplay also had potential but it falls apart thanks to basic controls and uneven difficulty, not to mention several badly bugged and tedious trophies .

Controls: 5/10 - The controls are basic, nothing more, nothing less.

Graphics: 7/10 - Again, functional but basic.

Sound: 8/10 - The Sound is pretty decent but there are some awful songs and the basic sound effects leave a little to be desired .

Wow Factor: 6/10 - The only Wow factor this has is "Wow, how did this ever get released ".

Replay Value: 0/10 - Once you've go the 100% for this, there is no real reason to go back.

Multiplayer Experience: 4/10 - The MP for this is almost dead, there are still a handful of Hardcore players playing this but for the most part it's dead. Boosting is essential.

Rent Or Buy This Game? Rent it, 100% it then return it!

Story: 4/10 Not great, just needed enough to carry out the idea of a game with an epic metal soundtrack and similar imagery.
Gameplay: 6/10 Combat is general button mashing, but the stage battles add something. Maybe not a good something, but something...
Controls: 7/10 Controls were pretty intuitive, no complaints.
Graphics: 6/10 Certainly no Heavy Rain, etc.
Sound: 9/10 The soundtrack is probably the main reason a lot of people will play this game. Taking off points for so-so other sounds/voice acting.
Wow Factor: 3/10 Would get a 10 for the "Wow, my 90%+ save just glitched Factor," but otherwise nothing to stand out.
Replay Value: 3/10 Not a lot of replay, unless you just want to drive around and jam out after completing the main game and side quests. Perhaps some multiplayer if you're really into stage battles...
Multiplayer Experience: ?/10 I'll refrain, since I have yet to connect to a match. Since it's basically the same as single-player stage battles, I'd say you like it or you don't.
Rent Or Buy This Game? I'd say rent, but I only paid $5 at Best Buy, so it was probably cheaper to buy for the ~30 hours it will have taken to Platinum.
Your Personal Verdict & Your Final Score: 6/10 Not an average, and definitely more than the sum of its parts. There was enough to do to keep me entertained, the soundtrack is great, the non-story/collection trophies were fun, the trophy images are cool, and probably other good things. The terrible save glitch significantly dropped my overall impression of the game...

Story: Nice, funny and i love metal. The end is bad, really. 8/10.

Gameplay: Man, the Deuce rocks and just sidequests sucks. 6/10.

Controls: functions are well positioned, np. 6/10.

Graphics: Far from Perfect, the game is short, could be better. 6/10.

Sound: Some old musics got bad recording but soundtrack really destroy !!! 9/10.

Wow Factor: C'mon, its pure metal in the Vein !!!! Aren't you tired of girly games? 9/10.

Replay Value: None after 100% or after got angry with online trophies. Unless you realy enjoy the Deuce. 2/10.

Multiplayer Experience: All about boosting, nothing more. 2/10.

Rent Or Buy This Game? The question is, do you really like metal? It's settled.

Overall: Math says exactly 6. My final score is 7, cause i really like metal.
