Is brink a fail or will it make a new era for shooters?

Curious on the opinions of other people on this game on if you think itll start a line of more games like it or if you want them to. I for one loved it and would really like to see more like it.

To be honest, I really like the idea Brink brought forth. I hadn't even watched too many gameplay videos, but the concept of playing with 15 other players co-operatively and competitively really excited me. The execution was a bit poor and some of the aspects of the game is a bit underwhelming, but I would still jump into the hype-wagon when Splash Damage announces the sequel to this otherwise mediocre game.

Wasn't hyped at first until I saw the tutorial video's. Got totally hyped and after playing it, it was a small let down. However, the more hours you put into it, the more fun it seems to be. It needs a bigger online community though. Maybe the new free DLC might make people think twice about this game All in all, not a bad game and I kinda enjoy it. If there was a bigger community, I would enjoy it even more.

I'm not really into first-person shooters but I really like Brink. I love the customization and the different roles that you can play not to mention it's a great casual pick up and play game.

I mean not really the game is very much fun when ya get it with ppl playing with ya and really with DLC I can see this game getting much better I hope for a level cap in the 50s maybe to give me something to do 20 didnt cut it nor will 24 I think but a update to the games AI would be a huge help and some more maps from DLC and I think brink will be a very fine game I kinda am upset I paid 45 bucks for it I could have waited for a bigger drop but over all I enjoy the game and think its not a fail just not "done" in my eyes a 2nd Brink or some DLC and updates should help this get right back along the path of greatness.

I like this game. Hopefully there will be a sequel and Splash Damage can improve on it's SMART system and other things.

I really dig this game. It's a fun little fast paced shooter I was a huge fan of Team Fortress 2, and this one really reminded me of it the SMART system is pretty spot on. I just wish that it didn't feel so underpowered. I'm looking forward to the dlc, and hope as the game becomes cheaper more folks will catch on to this superb little game.

Good concept with single, coop and multi being all fused....intresting story concept to build on....alot of variation with abilties and classes....gun variation kinda sucked... AI dumb....
