Borderlands ~ Road Map and Trophy Guide

You can earn all the trophies except the Viral one in offline Splitscreen/LAN co-op but there is a caveat i.e some trophies will only pop for Player 1, not Player 2. At the moment the only ones we know of (other than the action skill and level up ones) are the "Wanted", "Destroyed" and "United We Stand" trophies but there may be others. If anyone can confirm if any other trophies are Player 1 specific, then please let us know so we can update the guide (Credit to Tostigroover for this info).

In case of above, how should player 2 get the trophies (wanted, destroyed, united we stand) then? Play the game all over again?

P2 has 3 options .

1: Start a new game.

2: Start Playthrough 2.

3: Respawn one of the bosses by saving, exiting and reloading though do note that the final boss stays dead after it's killed as do some of the sub-bosses.

Just started on this one yesterday. Got a question, can you activate splitscreen with one controller and leave the 2nd character standing idle, and does this get you the co-op trophies?

The answer is yes to both questions but make sure you turn off the Controller auto-off else the 2nd joypad will disconnect and you won't get the trophies.

I only have the one joypad, i was meaning if i do the trick i used to get the Arch Rivals trophy in GT5, ie re assign the controller set up 2nd character then re assign to my 1st character and play so there wont be 2nd controller connected at all.

If i turn off the controller auto off this trick will work?

It has to be 2 actual joypads or splitscreen mode won't even start, it will just error and tell you to connect another joypad. Unless you can get another joypad from somewhere, you will have to find someone online to help you get the co-op trophies.
