Help! I think my game glitched!

I am doing the mission "Scavenger: Sniper Rifle", looking for the 4 parts in the Arid Hills area. The for the "body" is not where the part is. I go there and stand directly on top of marker, but there is nothing there. I have no problem finding any of the other parts, even without the marker pointing me to them. But, the one the marker directs me to does not seem to exist.
It is glitched, or is the marker just pointing to the "camp" all the parts are inside of? If it's not glitched, can anyone tell me where to find that rifle body? It is the only part I can't find, even though the camp isn't that big.

Just kidding. Thanks. I actually found it following a guide I found on gamefaqs. I usually hate using guides for games like this, because I prefer exploring and discovering on my own, but sometimes a guy's just gotta stop and ask for directions!

I had same issue with all scavenger mission even more with revolver mission

The scavenger missions are a pain if you don't realise the compass is not sending you to the right place. Hope you have found your way to the correct spot and found the part.

That's a "Pearl" weapon, perfectly Legit

I've seen my fair share of hacked weapons/shields and this is not one of them

I just tried to start a splitscreen new game with two new classes. As I was getting off the bus, the game froze. I know I like to rant about things that piss me off in this game, so here's another one: WHY DO I HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE LONG ASS INTRODUCTION EVERY SINGLE TIME? Gah. I'd like to be able to do two fucking characters at once, but I'm afraid this son of a bitch game will crash again. At least I can give my new guys a weapon from Crawmerax and get him some experience points by selling it to a vending machine. I want to know if this is a common bug or glitch. Or if I should just do them one... by one. I only have two left anyway.

Borderlands rarely freezes on the Slim PS3s but the Fat Models have an issue with the Unreal Engine that causes Borderlands to freeze something rotten. I've finished both version of Borderlands more times then I can count and they've never frozen on me.
