4-Controllers for Online Trophies?

I was just wondering if I had 4 controllers is it possible to get all the online trophies on my own without needing a boosting partner? Thanks in advance.

you need at least two other people,
when you host it'll only reconize two controllers

Yep. Me and my brother did it that way. He had 2 players on his PS3 and I had two on mine.
