Question R1 Instead of R2

Hello,

In Bodycount, I believe the default control setting to fire is R2 and viewing down the sights is L2 (if it is the same as the demo). Does anyone know if you can change the controller settings to use R1 and L1?

BTW, I have always wondered why game designers would ever use R2 to fire, when R1 would use the index finger which is the same finger you would use to fire a real gun. R1 would be more realistic, but some designers do not do this. Why is that? There is no right or wrong answer, it could just be designer choice - but it always made me wonder.

Thanks!
Mike

the R2 and L2 buttons can be pressed half so you can add more moves (when you pull L2 half by bodycount you can move while aiming, when you pull it full you can't move, but look around very smooth)

sorry for bad english

Question

Well, I guess I never tried that. So you switch your index finger up and down between R1 and R2?

That being said - Can you switch the buttons in this game to allow R1 to be the fire button?

Thanks!
Mike

man this game is garbage bought it today brand new for 7 quid for the plat.

the reason these games are R2/L2 instead of R1/L1 is that they are made for the 360 first and then just ported over to run on the ps3 shabby games as well same as F.E.A.R 2 but that was an awesome game so it didnt matter too much and the way this game locks you to the spot while aiming is horrible so thanks to the above comment for explaining the half press system

Just like nine out of ten games then, but most have R1 as fire on PlayStation so that isn't the reason. The actual reason is the half aim move system as you stated at the end of your post!
