So I am thinking of picking this up. Like the title says, do you guys have a problem getting a multiplayer game?

Generally varies between 100-600 online, depending on time. It's a huge pain to find people in some online rooms for trophy-nabbing, but otherwise you'll want to stick to the main two rooms, which are literally just bog-standard races.

I see the last post was 14th Feb and i was thinking of picking this games up...do many people still play online? Is the Platinum still available?

There were a couple hundred people when I was on late last night. It wasn't during peak primetime hours, but I had no problems finding a game. You should be able to still get the online trophies/stickers required for the platinum.

I still go online but have been having trouble getting online but its really fun when u get a room for Motor Mash

I haven't played this game in a year, is the multiplayer still as populated? Since PSN has returned there's been a record number of new players. Has this made Blur more populated too?

Most likely not as blur isn't a game that is "widely" known.
I say there are usually a few hundred people on the servers.
I have had blur since release and i only have like 10% trophies in it lol
I really need to finsih it before the online players run out

Generally speaking, your best bet is between 10 AM-5 PM CST. Usually you'll have between 350-450 people online.

When you hit 8-9 PM (where you'd think there would be MORE) it's only around the low to mid 100's.

IMO that's because this has a stronger international play base then in the states.
