Thought I'd help trying to shed some more light on this.
I contacted Bluepoint games in December over the lack of UK trophies, as a self-confessed trophy whore myself. They very promptly and politely replied that the patch was presented to Sony Europe at the same time (or thereabouts) as the US one. For reasons which were never disclosed to them, they missed the trophy patch of the last System Update. As we've now had at least one major System Update since then, and no trophy patch, I've tried contacting Sony Europe through various channels, and have not received the courtesy of a single reply. As I had some issues in the past with PS2 Everquest which took over 9 months to "resolve" (i.e. Sony US gave us free accounts, as they were fed up with EU never contacting us), I'm not at all surprised at this. So, I've just placed another email to Bluepoint asking for them to enlighten me, and also pass on my disgust to Sony via them if at all possible. I also mentioned that as I'm fortunate enough to own >25 consoles and have >16000 games, I don't need Sony as I can get my fix elsewhere, but I'm keen to follow this up for everybody's (including the members of my gaming group) sake. At this time, I can only suggest that anybody who's disgruntled by Sony Europe's attitude to us should put pen to paper and express their annoyance to them. And if they then ignore you, then there's always Sony's Head Office in Japan (and yes, they can read English emails) - believe me, that works! Anyway, I'll update as soon as I find out anything. Fingers crossed. |

A quick update.
Had a very prompt and courteous reply from Bluepoint Games, stating that they too cannot get hold of anyone at SCEE (why am I not surprised?), but they have in fact been in contact with SCEA and they insist that the patch will be done "any time soon". However, as I've since downloaded another system update (yesterday), this obviously doesn't mean yet. Anywa, just to let you know, I'm not letting this lie down. I'll give them a bit longer, then I'll be getting onto Sony in Japan and naming and shaming the shambles that they call Sony Europe. |

I just bought the game now (with the discount of SCEE birthday) and was really surprised when no trophy list was available. Indeed its a shame how this things happens.
I'll follow this discussion and hopefully get good news soon. |

Here's a theory on why there might be problems.
In the US, Blast Factor got 25 trophies, 15 for the game and 5 each for the expansions. Since in the EU, the game + expansions is basically sold as ONE standalone game, maybe they have problems justifying the 25 trophies for this game. I know that certain PSN games DO have more trophies, but those are on a larger scale than this one. Normally there is a certain limit for downloadable games. It was just a random thought, maybe it's just something I pulled out of my ass, but there has to be SOME reason why it's been 4 months now besides "lol we forgot" I was going to buy the game today with the sale but now I might wait, I'm not gonna support crap like this. |

I worked for SCEE over 10 years ago (in customer services), and I can wholeheartedly say that the company is run by mostly idiots these days. David Reeves is a nice enough guy, but ultimately he's not the one who makes the decisions.
