Collectibles (A Warning)

KEEP AN EYE ON YOUR COLLECTIBLES TOTAL!!! I used the guide on x360.org and found every collectible there was, but apparently one of the times I picked one up, I died and missed going back and re-collecting it. Imagine my surprise (and rage-induced fury) when I got to the end of the game and only had 149/150.

So just some friendly advice, each time you get to the end of a level, MAKE SURE you have all of them in the Challenge screen. Even if you get the "Area Collectibles" award, still check your total amount to make sure it is on par with the guide.

yeah, I just got fucked with this too.

I'm following a guide, but somewhere I missed one due to dying. Between all the specific challenges and collectibles, and not being able to backtrack at all, there's too much crap to keep up with between the wide spaced checkpoints.

goddamnit....

There are tons of warnings about that all over the forums. It sucks that you got screwed by the system, but it's really doable if you just check your Challenges / Collectibles once you die.

well it served as a lesson earned. I was only like 40 collectibles in anyways.

I'm just starting this game, so it's good to know all this going into it. It's still a pain in the ass though. I guess this is Grin making up for how embarrassingly easy Terminator Salvation was to plat...

Guess I'm just gonna make frequent save back-ups on my flash drive, and only overwrite it when I'm 100% sure I didn't miss anything.

it's also funny how the trophy for completing every challenge doesn't pop until the credits. I was getting worried it screwed me out of it somehow.

but before i could grab it a cutscene started and the level ended. now i have te re-do everything!!!

Ive been checking different sites for collectible guides and some have 149 collectibles while others have 150 and almost all of them have some random comment saying the guide omits one or mis-numbers certain levels. Does the XBOX link contain all the collectibles or does it miss one and perhaps thats why people keep getting 149 only and missing the trophy?

The Xbox guide is fine, I used it and I got the platinum for the game. You just have to be insanely careful when you die because you are not in the mindset of going back and getting everything.

The worst part of messing up is collecting is a challenge as well so its not like you can forget about doing all the challenges now as well
