Hello everyone I'm currently trying to get through the last challenge room, final exam, in BC:R but have hit a bit of a roadblock
. I'm stuck at the bottom section after the raising and falling platforms where there are three blocks with spikes on top of them and a bullet off to the top left side. The problem I've run into is trying to reach that bullet. Every time I attempt to grab it I always mess up to the point that the stage resets because I've taken too long trying to get this damn thing. I've heard you're supposed to execute an "Arc Jump" but how do you pull that off exactly? Please give as detailed a description as you can. This is the last trophy I need for 100% in BC:R so whatever advice and tips I can learn through this thread will be greatly appreciated. Thanks again forum members

Heh that's funny, the disappearing and reappearing platforms section was also one of the toughest parts of "Final Exam" for me to master too. The best advice I can give is to start counting to 3 each time the walkway disappears. Since the timing on this is pretty hard to get used to being able to associate it with a countdown helps tremendously, at least for me it did. Anyway, right before you reach the count of 3 step off the platform that goes up and down and immediately make a vertical grab to one of the overhanging blocks. After that just start repeating the 3 second countdown and from there you should have enough time to reach the air vent before the walkway collapses. I was able to average about 30 seconds from the moment I tripped the starting line to when I got past the disappearing platforms on most runs. That was after about 150 attempts mind you so just keep practicing and you'll get it. Any who I hope what I said will be able to assist you in your quest for getting "A Real Challenge" and even being able to get a 100% as well. Good luck Dreadnought

Thanks HADHOD! This room is really rough man. I can't believe how much precision is needed for these rooms. Not 1 margin of error can b made!! I think that's what fustrates the hell outta me most!! I get to thinking " why the hell would the devs wanna put these in for?!". Sure i'm not perfect at these side-scrollers, but my drive for completion is fast and outta control!!
I don't know how you beat super hard mode also, but major congrats for that too!! I've yet to complete area 1 yet, but %lm getting there!

Hey no problem man, I'm just glad I was able to be of assistance. And don't be discouraged just keep practicing and persevere and you'll get through those challenge rooms in no time. In regards to Super Hard I actually found it pretty manageable up in till the final boss fight with "The Leader". Trust me that encounter will push your patience to it's very limits but after you've faced him enough times and start to learn his attack patterns he becomes a pushover. Plus the payoff you get when you defeat him is marvelous. Anyway thanks again for the praise, you're too kind

You're welcome HADHOD! This game is great and hard as hell! What an awkward combonation. There's days where I feel really discouraged about the crazy difficulty for this game (for me anyways
) and my ability to 100% this game. A real mental puzzel. Still praying to get 100% this game one, just like I 100%ed a few of my other hard games too. Very impressive job getting 100% with this crazy tough game HADHOT!

Finally beat area 1 on super hard!! Yeah, baby, YEAH!!
Took ages to get through that!! But after many, many tries something inside me just "ckicked" and I felt I was gonna beat it this time, so I went for it!! I also watched a utube vid of someone doing the whole mission without taking damage which helped big time. I got really, really nervous on the boss fight 'cause I never made it that far before, but kept at it 'till he was done for. Got really nervous 'cause I had half a bar of health left (which meant if I got hit one more time I was done for) and the boss had like I I amount of health left. Man, it felt great watching his ass blow up!! Plus, I'm not really a pro at side-scrollers either, so it felt great going through that!! I just thought I'd take a crack at it after watching the youtube vid and what do ya know...?
