The challenge rooms is what pushes this up there to the 10 position. The challenges take a while and most are easily accomplished. But that challenge 56 is hair-pulling tough. Not to mention you still have to beat the game on Super Hard to 100%.

The levels are actually not bad until you reach the Albatross. Mostly due to the length of the level makes that one annoyingly difficult.

Challenge 56 was indeed hard. Took me 176 attempts to finally get it. I thought the albatross was much more annoying. Spending 15 minutes to get to the boss and fail miserably sucks hardcore. I could get through the level with full hp and 5 lives, but that last boss would make it seem like it doesn't matter =p Finally got that 100% though! I rate this game a 9(after getting 100%)

Now that its on my trophy list, i MUST get 100% on this game. No matter how stupid this game is going to be.

I've not played Metal Slug... but if anything, I'd say it makes more sense that your character can't jump the equivalent of 3 times his height, which is the case in most platformers. Using the claw is an integral part of the game, without which you don't have Bionic Commando at all. 'bionic' is a clue btw.

I just voted 10.

Total of 12 trophies, all pretty easy ( especially when they dumbed down Normal mode a lot at the time of trophy patch ), except for H4><0rz, clear Super Hard and clear all Challenge Rooms.

I'm not voting for average, I'm voting for 100% completion. I'm on my last challenge room, still not making it after 1,500+ attempts. I admit my reflexes aren't fast, still, crazy stuff.

I won't vote yet 'cause of my low trophy percentage, but I've been playing a f- load of super hard mode of this game and let's just say you'll probably be cussing at ur tv a lot. I also wanted to save some of the other trophies for later. This game is definitely between 9 and 10. Super hard mode is an unmerciful bastard. Even while watching youtube videos (which help tremendously, plus I'm not exactly a pro at side-scrollers so I needed the help) you'll still need to master the levels too. Once you got a level nailed down, the boss fights comes...and then the fustration starts up again but super hard is certainly obtainable. There's also the challenge rooms which are not very friendly either from #40ish-56. Those rooms are just brutal. Could take hundreds of tries. So, DO NOT buy this game for an easy 100% completion!!

This game is hard - "ridiculous" hard. I am in awe of the folks out there that have achieved 100%. I just can't do it. I've finished all but 7 challenge rooms, and those last 7 are unbeatable for me...I've logged hundreds & hundreds of tries for each of them, to no avail. I've attempted to follow YouTube vids on how to beat these challenge rooms and still cannot. And don't even get me started on beating the game on Super Hard. Jesus Christ.

I've been at 61% trophy completion for the past year. Every time I look at my trophy list, this game mocks me. Haha.

Again - kudos to those of you gamers out there that are good enough at this game to beat Super Hard story mode and defeat all of the challenge rooms. I unfortunately, am not.

Now that I got this very, very rewarding 100% a few days ago, I'd give this a 9.5!! After lots of yelling at my tv and some crying from so many failures, I finally got it after many, many tries So hard, but so rewarding!! Since there's no 9.5, I 'll give it 10!! I'm done with this game. It's not fun anymore since I got 100% now. The reason I give it a 10 is the following:

---Super hard mode is absolutely difficult, especially albatross, worst f-ing part of the game for me!! I must've lost like 80 lives total to finish this, mostly cause of mistakes in the retracting floors and the damn bossfight!! You die in 2 hits (3 if you get the health recovery pills), the enemies shoot very often and furiously like 15 shots at a time instead of 3 or 4 shots, the enemies have plenty of health, and your enemies shoot diagonally (which is damn unfair since Spencer can't), the boss fights are very difficult cause they attack really, really quickly and they have totally random attack patterns and some of the attacks are longer lasting and hard to avoid! You really have to have a good strategy and be really skilled! Youtube helps greatly too.

--- The challenge rooms are f-ing hard as hell later!! The only reason I got the in this game is cause I got damn lucky on 56 and had barely over a second, lol.

Great game, also very hard imo. Very proud to have this 100%
