Car chase on No Mercy tips

Hi all,

I'm on chapter 3 and just got into the mini van. I'm getting absolutely reamed on it and not making any progress.

I was wondering if the LMG I'm using is Big Bo's or just a random one. Since I haven't been upgrading anyone's weapons other than my own, if it is BB's then I'd assume upgrading it before the chase would make life much easier.

Anyone done this and can help?? Thanks.

EDIT: Well don't I feel sheepish....... Just found out you can duck back into the car .

Still if anyone knows about the upgrade question.
