IMO...Maybe if you've never played a shooter in your life. If you've played a few then it probably wouldn't make any difference.
I almost always go for online trophies first because of servers getting shutdown or because of how quickly communities die or in this case never exist. The campaign isn't going anywhere. I wrote the guide for people wanting to get the plat, and I think because of the limited amount of people playing this, that it's more important that they dedicate their time to helping each other. Also, I don't see how learning a game's campaign would help people before boosting, which is how most of the time will be spent. In instances where you are able to find legit games, playing against other people is completely different than playing against robots anyway. I guess people could do Versus > campaign > INVASION, but then they risk losing their group. I did Versus > INVASION > Campaign, so I can say INVASION prepared me for campaign. People are free to do as they please it was just my suggestion Last edited by Vapor_N4; 04-25-2012 at 03:49 PM. |

About the Tactician trophy, I think the kills you get when Cain hacks into the howitzer count towards it. I shot of a few robot heads during my playthrough but nowhere near even half the needed amount and the trophy popped during the sequence.

I didn't get any headshot bonuses so I don't think that's the case. The bots got blasted to little pieces with each shot and they mostly got hit with splash damage (cause I suck at aiming the thing). I'll make a playthrough on a another account, avoiding headshots and see how it goes. It'll take me a few days though, some real life stuff has piled up. I'll post when I'm done.

In this battle there are drones flying about that drop rockets and also the boss launches flyers, which go down in only one shot. Take down two of the engines of the boss; this causes the number of flyers that are launched to increase significantly, then equip your pistol, which will allow you to take down the flyers with the one-shot bonus each time and also has the added bonus of unlimited ammo. Use the stinger to try and takedown multiple flyers in one shot to boost trust further. Stay near the building that you can go inside and has the shop, you can shoot enemies through the windows and it gives you good cover for when the boss launches it's missile attack. Once there's a few flyers outside, pop under the bridge with your pistol and take them out. I struggled to max the trust of all my squadmates in my first playthrough, only managing it for Faye and Shindu. In my second, I'm taking Faye and Rachael into 2-4 to farm trust and then Bo and Charlie into 2-5. By the time I'm finished, I'm hoping all 4 will be near to max trust. The location in 2-4 isn't as good as the one in 2-5 for building trust quickly, but it's much easier. I spent about 45 minutes doing this approach and built up Faye's trust from it's starting level to just over 3 bars, however I also ended up having well over 100,000 credits as well! EDIT: Just realised that in 2-4 there is actually a mounted machine gun, if you exit the building on the top level and turn right, there is a ladder up near next to where you entered the level. If you take out the first two engines quickly, then use the mounted machine gun to aim just below the ship and take out any rockets or flyers with continuous fire, it actually builds up trust very quickly.
