Default The BIGS 2 Trophy Guide and Road Map

Trophy Guide With Roadmap

Roadmap

Overview:
-Estimated trophy difficulty: 6.9/10
-Offline: 36
-Online: 2
-Approximate amount of time to Platinum: 30-50 Hours
-Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 2
-Number of missable trophies: 1- Legendary Strikeout
-Glitched trophies: None*
-Do cheat codes disable trophies: N/A

*The online for the game is seriously defective. PS3 users experience massive connection issues and you will have to keep trying until you get lucky and are able to match up with someone repeatedly and then just boost the 10 wins needed. 2K has stated they are looking into it but I doubt they fix the connection issue anytime soon.

1st Base: Become a Legend Mode
You should start with the "Become a Legend Mode". You will go through a tutorial game and slowly become familiar with the game and its mechanics. You will also learn the tricks of the trade for winning games in The BIGS and a better understanding of all of the novelty actions in the game.

This is the longest mode in the game (unless you play all 162 games in season mode rather than sim) and is a good chunk of the trophies as well. You can earn trophies on any difficulty, default is medium and I suggest staying on medium as that will prepare you for the HR Pinball mode later on. Not to mention the step down in difficulty from medium to easy is laughable.

While going through the "Become a Legend" mode you will achieve the following trophies in the following order by progressing through the story:

Mexico Complete
Japan Complete
Steal Ozzie Smith
Steal Dave Winfield
Steal Wade Boggs
Steal Reggie Jackson
Steal Ryne Sandberg
Become a Legend

While going through all the games and challenges in this mode you will more than likely also earn the following in game trophies:

Taste of Power
Blammo!
The Slam Dance
Two For the Price of One
Burglar
Look Out Below
Can't Intimidate Me
Perfection
Legendary Strike Out
Against the Odds
Party Like its 1881!
Penultimate Perfection
Textbook Perfection
Hit for the Cycle

Legendary Strikeout MUST be done in Become a Legend mode on the very last part when you face Babe Ruth. You play him 4 times and you must strike him out once in one of those games. So if you dont get it then I would suggest restarting the game until you do otherwise you will miss it.

Once you complete Be a Legend Mode you will be in good shape to finish up the rest of the trophies in quick order for your platinum.

2nd Base: Season Mode
You have two options to get the 3 Season Mode trophies. The "quick" and better option is to play about 5-10 games, depending on your skill level with the game, and rack up a ton of stats. Im talking about winning the games 70+ runs to whatever. Play the mode on Easy to make this no problem. Youll want to set up your team by trading for certain players (all detailed in the trophy guide) and then picking certain players to perform the Legendary milestones with and have them rack up the stats in those 5-10 games.

Now sim to the All-Star break. Play the Power Derby to achieve that trophy and them sim to about 20 games left in the season. At this time you can do some math and play another 5-10 games and rack up the stats and between your stats and the simming stats you should have enough to get the Best Season Ever trophy. One thing to note is stats while simming have caps. Again this will be explained in the trophy guide.

The other option is to obviously play all the games but with 162 thats a LONG time.

At the end of Season Mode you should have the following trophies:

Power Derby Winner
You Are The Champions
Best Season Ever

And if you didnt get them in Become a Legend Mode you have a lot more of a chance to pick up any of the in game trophies as follows:

Taste of Power
Blammo!
The Slam Dance
Two For the Price of One
Burglar
Look Out Below
Can't Intimidate Me
Perfection
Against the Odds
Party Like its 1881!
Penultimate Perfection
Textbook Perfection
Hit for the Cycle

After you have finished Season Mode you are on the homestretch for Platinum.

3rd Base: Home Run Pinball Mode

This mode is a little challenging at times and might take a few tries on some levels. Once you get into a rhythm though it isnt bad. Basically you go to each Pinball board, you will unlock the Retro Times Square board by beating Become a Legend mode, and you are aiming to get 1M points(2M for the coop trophy). There is also one item you are trying to hit on each level for those trophies as well. Tips and tricks for each level will be in the guide. The Coop 2M trophy will more than likely need to be done locally so youll need a second controller and another friend with decent hand eye coordination. Although you can do it online with someone else IF you are able to get a connection.

When you are finished with Homerun Pinball Mode you should have the following trophies:

Times Square Master
Shibuya Master
Vegas Master
Retro Times Square Master
Take That Blimp Down
Slay The Giant Brute
Apocalyptic Success
Happy New Years

Finishing this mode marks the end of your single player journey in this game except for one trophy and any cleanup in game trophies you still need.

Home Plate: Online Mode

This is where the game becomes very frustrating. You should be 2-3 trophies away from Platinum and 2 of them are online. For some reason the PS3 has connection issues on this game. You can try for hours and not get connected to a game even though theres a lobby full of people trying. A lot of people ar having success with connecting by hardwiring their PS3s rather than going through a router but you still need the other person to be hardwired or have their router actually be working. Its strongly suggested you boost these 2 online trophies because you never know when the connection will stop or the leaderboards will be broken AGAIN.

You should now have the following trophies:

Cross Continental Success
10 Times The Fun

Simply win 10 games and both of these trophies are yours. Once you get someone you can connect with constantly, these are easy.

Foul Ball: Clean Up Trophies
By now you should most definitely have every trophy with the exception of one, Power Struggle. Just simply set up a game on Super Hard difficulty and pick an All Star team or one of the top ranked teams and play against a Mexico or Japan team and you should be ok getting this with a little work and maybe a few tries.

You should have the following trophies:

Power Struggle

If you werent able to get some of the in game trophies during all your previous work now is the time. Simply set up games on easy and go to work. Although I will say, if you havent gotten them by now it would be rather surprising.

The Following Trophies could use some clean up games:

Taste of Power
Blammo!
The Slam Dance
Two For the Price of One
Burglar
Look Out Below
Can't Intimidate Me
Perfection
Against the Odds
Party Like its 1881!
Penultimate Perfection
Textbook Perfection
Hit for the Cycle

And finally you have:

Platinum Status

Trophy Guide

General tips for Become a Legend Mode:

Once you finish Mexico you will be able to choose teams to face off against. Once you complete the teams first two games/challenges you are able to play a game against that team that once you win you can steal any player off of that team for your team. Im not sure of the exact paths as all the other teams but I would assume they are similar to each other. I played as the Rays. I would suggest playing a teams game set that has a good pitcher to steal. Lincecum is a beast and I went after him first which made the rest of the mode almost laughable once you learn how to get perfect pitches. So aim to steal a dominant pitcher, one with at least two legendary pitches.

After that I would also suggest going after players with legendary speed and contact attributes. You can only use 3 stolen players on your team at a time. I used Lincecum for every game and then had two speed contact guys ( I had Ichiro and Brian Roberts). Those 3 players (or similar) will make any lineup deadly.

During your Become a Legend mode playthough you will be asked to perform in game tasks AND win the game. Some of them can be tricky. The best thing is to focus on the in game task first and foremost. Do whatever you have to do to get that taken care of. After that focus on winning the game. The two dont have to be mutually exclusive though.

Another strategy I found useful was once you get a big lead in a game, like 5+ runs, stop pouring it on. Simply bunt your way to 3 outs through the rest of your at bats. This will not only speed up the game but it will also prevent the other team from getting Big Play points by performing strikeouts, great catches, legendary catches, double plays etc. Obviously if you need more runs then hit, but I found myself up by 5+ runs after the first couple of innings many a times and this strategy helped me out immensely for the reasoning above.

Become a Legend mode is pretty expansive. It runs through 4 seasons, 3 offseasons, cooperstown vote getting games, and then hall of fame mini games and games. Its the longest mode in the game but its not too long.

General tips for HR Pinball:

First of all. Do everything you can to NOTE hit the ball so it hits the pitcher. If you hit the pitcher he will get mad and go for payback with a turbo pitch which is obviously a lot harder to hit then the normal pitches.

Take out the signs throughout the area by hitting the ball in that direction with a power/contact swing and once you finish off each letter in a sign the bonus billboards will light up. These bonuses could be anything from 25-75K points, a multiplier up to 5x, pitch mania (starts a turbo pitching session in which if you miss you do not lose a ball/strike so these are good as you can go to town and if you miss it doesnt count against you), and multi-ball(when you hit a single ball being pitched to you, it splits up into 2 or 3 balls to hit multiple targets or one target multiple times for double or triple the points).

You want to save your big blasts, which you are given every 100K points, for when you get multiplier billboards. Hit the billboard to get the multiplier and then activate big blast. You have 3 swings good or bad to use your big blast(same goes for hitting the bonuses on the billboards) and you want to make all 3 count. Getting a multiplier and hitting the big blast targets, which there are usually 3 of, will yield a lot of points.

Finally, dont forget to use your contact swings as well to pick up points and smaller signs that can bring up bonus billboards. Contact swings in each direction will hit different things then the power swings.

Mexico Complete
Complete the Mexico portion of Become a Legend Mode

This trophy is story progression while playing through the Become a Legend mode. You start this mode out in Mexico but dont fret when you finish those 3 games/challenges and this trophy doesnt pop. You in fact go back to Mexico in the offseason between your 3rd and 4th seasons in this mode and once you complete the games/challenges in it this time you will receive this trophy.

Japan Complete
Complete the Japan portion of Become a Legend Mode

This trophy is also story progression in the Become a Legend mode. Again you will visit Japan during the offseason between season 1 and season 2, however you wont receive this trophy until you revisit this area again directly after Mexico in the offseason between your 3rd and 4th seasons. Complete the two games to earn this trophy.

Times Square Master
Get 1,000,000 points in the Times Square Home Run Pinball venue

This is a Homerun Pinball trophy. Load up this game mode and select the Time Square board. Pick your favorite slugger, I recommend David Ortiz or Manny Ramirez, and enter the game mode.

Times Square Specific Tips:

This level uses a mix of power (Circle button) and contact(X button) swings. Your main targets with your power swings will be the BCG Globe sign to the middle left of the pitcher(11 O'Clock) 10K points per letter and once more for the globe itself, and the red neon sign directly opposite of the globe (not sure what it says, 1 O'Clock) which is also 10K per letter. You also have the HOTEL sign right in front of the red sign which is gotten with the same 1 O'Clock swing but with a contact swing. For this level your best bet is to whittle those signs down to one or two letters left and then finish one off, get the bonus billboard, finish another off, get the billboard, etc etc. The best bonus billboards are directly above the pitcher in front of you(12 O'Clock).

Obviously once you get a big blast and a good multiplier you will want to go ahead and use that. There are 3 big blast targets in this level. The New Years Eve Ball(12 O'Clock) 30K points, the blue glass building above and behind the BCG globe(11 O'Clock)30K points, and finally an almost unseen target(1 O'Clock) 20K points.

As with all levels, rhythm and timing of bonus billboards and big blasts are key here. This is one of the easier levels to reach 1M in due to the easily hittable targets.

Shibuya Master
Get 1,000,000 points in the Shibuya Home Run Pinball venue

This is a Homerun Pinball trophy. Load up this game mode and select the Shibuya board. Pick your favorite slugger, I recommend David Ortiz or Manny Ramirez, and enter the game mode.

Shibuya Specific Tips:

Unless you are out of targets you should only need power swing on this level(Circle button). On this level there arent many reliably hittable targets. However there are enough to make this pretty easy once you know where. Firstly youll want to hit the 4 billboards that are above and to the right of the pitcher(about 2 O'Clock), as one hit knocks them down, they are worth 10K a piece, and once you knock all 4 down it will reveal the Godzilla like monster behind them for your big blast shots. Once these are down you have two reliable signs to take out to activate the bonus billboards. The first and the one youll probably use the most, are the ticker type signs in the far upper left hand corner of the screen(about 10 O'Clock). There are 4 of them and each is worth 10K. The second, although after I think you finish it off 2 or 3 times its gone forever, is the fruity sign directly above the pitcher(12 O'Clock). This has 3 fruits that you hit and each is worth 10K. Once you finish off one of these signs the bonus billboards will come up. The easiest one is to the right and can be reliably gotten by holding the analog stick directly to the right(3 O'Clock).

Same thing applies here for big blasts. Use them when you need to but try to save them for when you have multipliers. In this level there are 3 big blast targets. The godzilla behind the billboards(1 O'Clock) 30K points, the big Japanese sign all the way at the top in the middle(12 O'Clock) 30K points, and the 141 Sign in the background in the upper left(about 11 O'Clock) 20K points.

As with the other boards once you get into a rhythm and get a little lucky with big multiplier bonus billboards and big blasts, 1M comes up pretty fast.

Vegas Master
Get 1,000,000 points in the Vegas Home Run Pinball venue

This is a Homerun Pinball trophy. Load up this game mode and select the Las Vegas board. Pick your favorite slugger, I recommend David Ortiz or Manny Ramirez, and enter the game mode.

Las Vegas Specific Tips:

Always use power swing on this board (Circle Button). Aim up slightly to the left (11 O'Clock) with the right analog stick to hit the MEOW sign(each letter is worth 10K points). This is the shortest and easiest to hit to activate bonus billboards. The second best to hit is the Blue Castle sign(again each letter is worth 10K points) which you aim up and to the right( about 3 O'Clock), although it takes a lot of shots this way, one for each letter, to activate the bonus billboards through this sign. Continue to alternate between these two signs to keep activating the billboards.

The easiest bonus billboard to hit will be the one right behind the MEOW sign. Its an up and to the left analog stick(about 10 O'Clock).

Now keep following this path to get the bonus billboards and points and you will eventually get big blasts(1 for every 100K points). As stated in general tips for pinball, your best bet is to save the big blasts for when you get a multiplier bonus billboard. There are actually 6 big blast targets on this level. The hot air balloon(about 10 O'Clock) 50K points, the Eiffel Tower which has 3 sections you can hit(about 11 O'Clock) 30K points, 20K points, 40K points, the pyramid on the building(about 2 O'Clock) 30K points, and finally the blimp that comes by every so often(Dont touch the analog stick, wait for it to be directly above the pyramid and just hit power swing while on big blast) 100K points.

Get some decent multipliers and keep the pattern of signs to bonus billboards to big blast targets going and youll reach 1M in no time.

Retro Times Square Master
Get 1,000,000 points in the Retro Times Square Home Run Pinball venue

NOTE: This board for HR Pinball is only available after unlocking it by beating Become a Legend Mode.
This is a Homerun Pinball trophy. Load up this game mode and select the Retro Times Square board. Pick your favorite slugger, I recommend David Ortiz or Manny Ramirez, and enter the game mode.

Retro Times Square Specific Tips:

For this stage you will be using both power and contact swings. You have to use a good bit of strategy in this level because the big blast targets disappear after hitting them twice. Start off by using the same technique of knocking out signs to activate bonus billboards. Your primary signs are actually all over the board. Use the BCG sign on the left (11 O'Clock), the Blue Castle sign right above the pitcher (12 O'Clock), and the Faux Pas sign on the right (1 O'Clock), all are worth 10K per letter (The Blue Castle sign can only be taken out twice and the second time you get 25K bonuses for each word). Again take out each of these signs to activate the bonus billboards. The best bonus billboard in this level is to the right (about 2 O'Clock) BUT use a contact swing(X button).

Once you have a big blast you really have to use strategy on this level. Youll want to have a multiplier for sure each time you use it as you can only really take advantage of the bigger points twice. There are 3 Big Blast targets on this board. The Red neon "Regal" sign on the left above the BCG sign (11 O'Clock) 30K points, the New Years Eve Ball directly above the pitcher (12 O'Clock) 30K points, and the top of a building you cant see until you hit the ball that way (1 O'Clock) 20K points. Now heres the thing. The second time you hit each of these targets with a big blast, they blow up and are gone, BUT the NYE ball gives you 100K the second time you hit it. I would recommend not using a big blast to hit those targets for the second/last time unless you have at least a 3x multiplier. 4x and 5x are awesome and will make the 1M a breeze but the minimum is 3x.

With a little bit of strategy the 1M on this board isnt bad at all with a little bit of planning ahead.

10 Times the Fun
Win 10 ranked online matches

This is an online trophy. You dont have to win 10 in a row. Just 10 overall. Also the description is a little misleading as there is an option to play ranked HR pinball matches but those wins dont count towards this trophy. You have to win 10 ranked online games. The hardest part about this trophy is dealing with the horrible connection issue the PS3 seems to have. The most success people have had is by hardwiring their PS3 to their modem however 2K sports has said you can try to open certain ports and that "should" help. Bottom line here is keep trying to quick match and get into a game room with someone and if you get a connection write their name down so you can ask them to keep playing you to get these two online trophies, or simply boost it.

Im not big into boosting but with how the online is (pretty vacant plus the connections issues) I would STRONGLY suggest finding someone you can connect with reliably and just boost these. Also you can enter the game, throw one pitch, and quit out and that counts as a win for the person that was quit on. So its pretty easy to boost them.

Cross-Continental Success
Win your first ranked match online

Same as 10 Times the Fun, but this one will pop on your 1st win online.

Power Struggle
Win a game on Super Hard in any single player game mode

I would suggest doing this one after you have unlocked the Mexico teams near the end of Become a Legend mode. Game options: Super Hard, 3 Innings, AL All Star Team Vs. Mexico Pollos. I warn you, you have to have a good grasp of the pitching to do well in this as there is next to no room to mess up on the pitching meter. If you can handle that part then the rest of it is pretty easy. The mini games for legendary catches etc are faster and harder as well.

Taste of Power
Perform your first Legendary Catch in any single player game mode

This can be done in any single player mode which means no having a 2nd controller in use. If you follow my roadmap you should have this in the first couple of games you play. To get this you simply have to have a ball hit to an "unreachable spot" on the field, have a fielder in that area that has legendary fielding attributes, and you have to get to a certain spot to be able to hit X to initiate the legendary catch.

Once you initiate it, the mini game will pop up and will be anything from holding a certain button down for a period of time and releasing it at the right time, hitting the right button at the right time, hitting a button sequence in time, aligning a target by hitting a button in time, or even keeping a baseball on a level plain for a long enough time. This will most definitely be accomplished MANY times throughout playing BIGS so I wouldnt stress to much over it.

Blammo!
Fill your Powerup Meter and successfully complete a Big Slam in any single player game mode

This is another trophy that you will accomplish the requirements many many times over your BIGS experience. To get a Big Slam you simply need 125K big play points. These come from getting strikeouts, double plays, great catches, legendary catches etc.

Dont confuse the Big Slam with the Big Blast. The Big Blast is what you get for 100K big play points. Dont use it and earn another 25K big play points to have the chance to use Big Blast.

Once you have the Big Slam you hit R2+L2 and it will activate it. You will then have 4 players that come to bat with one swing each. Depending on how many people you have on base at the time you activate it, you will have the swings to load the bases and then whatever is left over will be your home run swing(s). To get the trophy you simply need to connect on your HR swing.

The Slam Dance
Strike Out the Potential Home Run Hit on a Big Slam in any single player game mode

This is the opposite side of the Big Slam. This one requires a bit of luck as when pitching against the Big Slam you only actually control one pitch, the first one. I would suggest using a turbo if you have one and you want to try to get a perfect pitch and use the pitchers best pitch type. After that you just have to hope the AI misses the HR swing(s). If they strike out you get the out and the trophy.

I believe if you activate Big Heat (R1+L1) and enter duel mode and you strike them out you will receive the trophy as well, but I cant confirm it as I got mine in the above fashion.

Two for the Price of One
Perform a Successful Double Steal in any single player game mode

To do well in the BIGS this technique is used often so it's good to learn how to do it and do it well. Basically you are just getting two players on base. On 1st and 2nd. Then when you are waiting for the pitch you want to hit triangle and then right when the pitcher starts his motion you hit R2. This will make both players try to steal. The catcher will throw to 3rd base 100% of the time. So you really just need the player on 2nd to be speedy.

You can also use a turbo by hitting R1 sometime before you hit R2 to initiate the steals. This will almost ensure that you have both players safe.

Keep an eye on your opponents turbo bars because if they have turbo the catcher will more than likely use it to gun you down.

You will know you did it right when the big play points banner pops up saying Double Steal 30K points.

Burglar
Steal 3 bases in one game in any single player game mode

You will do this many more times than 3 in a game. The easiest way is to do the double steal trophy above and then just steal one more base anytime in the game. You dont need to do 3 steals with one player, its 3 team steals. To perform a single player steal you simply hit triangle and then during the pitchers windup hit triangle again to make him take off. Again you can use turbo (R1) to accelerate the player even more.

Keep an eye on your opponents turbo bars because if they have turbo the catcher will more than likely use it to gun you down.

Look Out Below!
Get 5 Home Runs in a single game in any single player game mode

Another trophy that looks daunting but really isnt. To get this you have to hit 5 HRs in a game with your team, not with just one player. To hit HRs you have a few options. You can try power swings (O button) while holding up and any direction on the analog stick when high rated power players come to back. You can also use Big Blasts(R1+L1) and Big Slams(R2+L2).

You can try using a team with one or two "All HRs are no doubters" to increase your chances of letting loose the bomb.

If for some reason you are still having problems with this then you shouldnt have a problem with it when you play on easy in season mode with the beefed up team you will create to get all the legendary milestones.

Steal Ozzie Smith
Win the Ozzie Smith challenge in the Become a Legend Hall of Fame

This trophy is attained near the very end of Become a Legend Mode.

This is basically "boss battle" for the fielding mini game. Just like the other fielding mini games up to this point you need to dive by pressing X and the direction the ball is going and make the catches. Most catches in this one are legendary catches so be ready for those. If you miss any you might as well restart as you will need pretty much every catch to beat Ozzie Smith. Beat him and the trophy is yours.

Steal Dave Winfield
Win the Dave Winfield challenge in the Become a Legend Hall of Fame

This trophy is attained near the very end of Become a Legend Mode.

For this challenge you have to play a full game against Dave Winfield and his team full of legendary attribute throwing arms. The basic strategy here is to try to play small ball and not take too many extra bases as his team will gun you down. Also youll want to play this one after you take out all the other legends in their mini games(except Ruth), as they will join your team and make you stronger.

Simply win the game and Dave Winfield and this trophy are yours.

Steal Wade Boggs
Win the Wade Boggs challenge in the Become a Legend Hall of Fame

This trophy is attained near the very end of Become a Legend Mode.

Another "boss battle" type mini game, this time contact. Again just like the previous contact mini games. Use contact swing (X button). You can miss a few of the white balls but if you miss any of the colored balls (not counting the red) then you might as well start over because you wont win.

Beat Wade Boggs and you get the trophy.

Steal Reggie Jackson
Win the Reggie Jackson challenge in the Become a Legend Hall of Fame

This trophy is attained near the very end of Become a Legend Mode.

"Boss battle" for power batting against Reggie Jackson. Its pretty much you vs Jackson in a HR derby setup. Youll need to hit 3 targets and then you will be able to hit the billboards for more points. Youll have to do this about twice and then maybe hit a target or two after that to reach the 100K point mark at which point youll get a big blast. Use the big blast (R1+L1) and a power swing to jack the ball out of the park and win the derby and this trophy.

Steal Ryne Sandberg
Win the Ryne Sandberg challenge in the Become a Legend Hall of Fame

This trophy is attained near the very end of Become a Legend Mode.

Ryne Sandberg stands in your way to attain legendary status in speed. Its just like the previous speed mini games except its expanded a little more as you run through the streets of Chicago. Most of the buttons that pop up that you have to hit in time will change if you have to do it over again except remember the "air" part is always X mash, so you can start that early.

Also be ready for 2 balance beam sections where you have to balance a baseball on a ledge with the R2 and L2. Finally the ending spring of this is the part where you have to hit the scrolling buttons as they come down from the top of the screen so be prepared for that.

Beat Sandberg and you get the trophy.

Take that Blimp Down
Hit the Blimp with a Big Blast in the Las Vegas Home Run Pinball Venue

All you have to do to get this trophy is hit the Blimp. Load up HR Pinball mode and pick the Las Vegas board. Get enough points for a big blast and wait. Once you see the blimp coming over the building with the pyramid on it (about 1 O'Clock), activate your big blast. On your swing just hit power swing (O button) without touching the analog stick. The ball will go directly to the blimp and take it out. You get 100K points and the trophy.

Slay the Giant Brute
Hit the Giant Brute with a Big Blast in the Shibuya Home Run Pinball Venue

Load up HR Pinball mode and the Shibuya board. Begin to take out the 4 billboards to your upper right with power swings. Once you hit them they fall down and disappear. They will reveal a Godzilla type creature behind them. You must hit all 4 billboards down before you can hit the Godzilla. Once all 4 are down and you have gotten enough points for a big blast, activate and power swing with the analog at about 1-2 O'Clock. This should hit Godzilla and give you your trophy.

Apocalyptic Success
Break the globe in the Times Square Home Run Pinball venue

Load up HR Pinball mode and the Times Square board. This is not talking about the NYE globe in the upper center of the screen. It is talking about the BCG globe kind of tucked away to your left. Its neon blue. You have to hit it 3 times to take out the B, C, and G letters and then you hit it the 4th time to take the globe itself out and get your trophy.

Happy New Years
Hit the New Year's Ball with a Big Blast in the Retro Times Square Home Run Pinball Venue

You cant get this trophy until you complete Become a Legend Mode and unlock the Retro Times Square board. Once you do load it up and simply get enough points for a big blast and activate it. Power swing while holding straight up on the analog stick and you will take out the NYE ball and receive your trophy.

Can't Intimidate Me!
Get a Wheelhouse Turbo x3 strike vs Legendary Batting Attributes in any single player game mode

This one is a little tricky. The way I got it was throwing 3 wheelhouse turbo strikes in a row, the final one being the wheelhouse turbo x3. However I had noticed that I would get wheelhouse turbo x3 pop on the screen when I just threw the 3rd strike into the wheelhouse. I cant confirm it will work by just throwing the last pitch in the wheelhouse as I got mine throwing all 3.

So basically you just need to challenge a hitter with legendary power or contact batting attributes. I would suggest going after the power guys as they have big uppercut type swings that you can exploit with changeups and breaking balls. The pitch has to go through the batters wheelhouse and you will know youre doing it right when you see wheelhouse turbo, wheelhouse turbo x2, wheelhouse turbo x3 pop up on the screen. The wheelhouse will also be shrinking. You CANNOT use turbo when you throw these pitches or it wont count. On that note Im not too sure you can use Big Heat either. So try to get perfect pitches and exploit the power guys with the big motion type pitches.

Legendary Strikeout
Strike out Babe Ruth

This is the ONLY MISSABLE TROPHY IN THE GAME.

This can only be done during the very last part of Become a Legend mode when you face Babe Ruth. You have 4 games against him and his team in which each game has a new twist to it. You have to strike him out. You can use turbos (and I think Big Heat). You have to pitch outside of the strike zone box and try to get perfect pitches to make him swing. Youll want to aim the pitches low and away. I used fastballs exclusively for this and was able to strike him out multiple times. If you dont strike him out in one of the first two games, you prob wont in the third as he has instant big blast every at bat, so youll only have the last game to get him. I would suggest playing the first game over and over again until you get him in that one to make sure you get it done.

Against the Odds
Get a base hit off of a legendary pitch in any single player game mode

This one should come as you play. All you have to do is get a hit off of a pitcher when he throws his legendary pitch. The pitcher must have a legendary attribute for a pitch. If he decides to throw that pitch and you get any kind of hit against him then the trophy is yours. Its pretty much just a try until you get it type trophy. Dont forget to use turbo boosts (I believe Big Blasts work as well).

Double the Fun
Get 2,000,000 points in any Home Run Pinball venue while playing co-op

You can do this one offline locally with a friend or online. I would suggest locally with a friend though. Basically its the same as the get over 1M points trophies except you need 2M total and have a second person to help.

I would suggest the Las Vegas board as there are more big slam targets to hit. Make sure you are aiming for different normal signs as whoever hits it first gets the points(unless the timing is right and sometimes it will credit you both with the points).

Also make sure you dont use your Big Blasts at the same time and wait for your multipliers. Use the tips from the Las Vegas board to maximize your point totals.

Power Derby Winner
Come out on top in the BIGS 2 Power Derby in Season mode

You should do this one in the middle of your Best Season Ever trophy run. You will come up to the all star break in your season. Play the Power Derby and you have to win 3 rounds. Each round you need to hit targets to gain points. 3 targets in a row and you can aim for the billboards which will give you bigger point totals. Once you get to 100K you get a Big Blast in which you activate right away and just power swing for the fences to win. Do this in all 3 rounds and you get the trophy. If you lose you can restart and try again from the same round.

Party Like it's 1881!
Get a Grand Slam without using the Big Slam powerup in any single player game mode

The trick here is to realize it says without using the Big Slam, not the Big Blast. Basically you want to load the bases in any fashion when you have a Big Blast available. Then with the bases loaded activate the Big Blast and jack it out of the park for the trophy.

You can set it to easy and load up any two teams you want to make this even easier.

Penultimate Perfection
In a 5 inning (minimum) single player game, prevent the other team from getting an official hit

See Textbook Perfection

Become a Legend
Complete Become a Legend Mode

This unlocks once you finish Become a Legend Mode by beating Babe Ruth. This is the longest mode in the game (unless you play all 162 games during a season). By the time you get to Ruth you will have a hall of fame team playing with you and your stats will all be legendary. As soon as you beat him the 4 times, the trophy will unlock and you will be able to face him in a HR pinball mode to unlock the Retro Times Square board.

See the Become a Legend mode tips at the top of this guide.

You are the Champions
Win the World Series® and get a season score of 1,000,000 or more at the end of a Season

This trophy should be achieved while going for the Best Season Ever trophy. By the score of 1M it means big play points. While going for the Best Season Ever you should be close to if not over 1M big play points per game you play so dont even worry about that.

Once you get to the end of the season (through playing and simming) you will be in the playoffs. For some reason the AI wont let you win if you try to sim through the playoffs, no matter how good your team. So basically you have to play each playoff game. Just set the innings to 3 and blast through them. Once you take a lead you can just bunt through your lineup for easy quick outs to speed the game along.

Once you win the World Series the trophy will pop.

Best Season Ever
Match all of the Legendary Milestones during a season in Season Mode

Ok this is one of the harder trophies in the game. It becomes very monotonous and boring to do. You want to start a season on easy, any team you want, trade power off.

Then you want to assemble the following roster:

SP - Tim Lincecum
SP - Johan Santana
SP - Roy Halladay

RF - Ichiro Suzuki
SS - Hanley Ramirez
1B - Albert Pujols
3B - Alex Rodriguez
C - Joe Mauer
DH - Ryan Braun
2B - Dustin Pedroia
CF - B.J. Upton
LF - Matt Holliday

*Thanks to OSUBucksFan47 on our sister site for this tip.

This lineup is beneficial for a few reasons with the combination of powerups the players give each other.

For this trophy you have to reach the following milestones with single players in either a single game or through the season:

Season:
73 HR
130 SBs
262 Hits
191 RBIs
41 Wins
383 Ks

Single Game:
4 HR
7 SBs
9 Hits
12 RBIs
20 Ks

Now you will want to play the first 5-8 games, make sure its set to 9 innings. On the batting side, youll want to try to get hits with Ichiro, use him to steal second. Get another single, and make sure to keep Ichiro on second. Then double steal. Then another single and keep your runners on their bases for they are loaded. Then use A-Rods no doubt HR powerup to hit a grand slam. Go through the rest of the lineup however you can and repeat the process. If you get into a rhythm you can actually have a Big Slam ready for after A-Rod so you can go through the next 4 really quickly and get right back to Ichiro. Make sure to use steals to gain more big play points. Using this method Ichiro should get the hits and SBs milestones (both game and single season), and A-Rod should get the HRs and RBIs records.

For pitching use Lincecum. Strike everyone out. If they get a hit dont throw them out or catch the pop up. Let them on base. Every out should be a strikeout.

If you do this method correctly you should be winning each game like 75+ to 2-3. Once you play the first 5-8 games, sim to the all star break and get your power derby trophy. Then sim to about a month left in the season. The AI will cap the stats at certain points so you have to break the records yourself (except the pitcher wins for some reason). Play more games until you get the milestones then sim to the playoffs and play through that for your Champions trophy.

The hardest milestone is the hits so make sure to focus on that as much as possible.

Textbook Perfection
In a 5 inning (minimum) single player game, prevent the other team from getting on base at all

This one seems difficult but its not that bad. Set it to easy, 5 innings, and pick the AL AllStar team Vs the Mexican team Pollos. You need to have a perfect game. Try to get perfect pitches and aim for the corners or slightly off. You cant walk anyone or allow any hits. To stop them from getting any big blasts make sure to get your couple of runs and then bunt through your order. Remember you only need one run to win (if you need more you already lost the trophy anyways). Santana is a good choice for pitcher here.

Hit for the Cycle
Hit for the cycle in any single player game mode

To hit for a cycle means to get a single, double, triple, and HR all in the same game. This is easier if you set the innings to 9 and put it on easy( you will probably have many cycles when going for your Best Season Ever trophy), however it can be done on 5 innings medium pretty easily as well during Become a Legend mode at the All Star game.

The best strategy is to get a triple as fast as you can (obviously take what you can get but focus on a triple if possible). Make sure to use your turbos excessively if you have to. Then go for the double and the single and then just use a Big Blast or Big Slam for the HR to complete the cycle. I did this without even trying with Joe Mauer during the All Star game. Aiming your swings and using your turbos are the keys to this one.

Platinum Status
Become the greatest of all time

Simply earn all other trophies in the game for this bad boy.
