PS3T Server

In preparation for the game night, I rented a server for a week. It's called "PS3Trophies.org" and you'll have to look in the West US to find it. The settings are all pretty much default for right now and it's open to the public. Reply here with any suggested settings and I can adjust them. Enjoy the server.

You say default, does that mean 100% ticket games?

Is that conquest? rush? TDM? or a mix of all 3?

Most people like to play Conquest, regular ticket games are great because there aren't many DICE servers as there used to be, and everyone enjoys those.

Anything over 200% is a bit much, not many people I know enjoy games longer than that, (Conquest anyway) and increased ticket Rush is just silly in my opinion

EDIT: As a few people mentioned over in the Arena, Normal mode will probably be the most favoured, and as Alpha said, Gulf Of Oman is quite a regular map to freeze on. (Pity, I love that map )

It on Most Popular. So Davamand Rush, Canals TDM, Caspian Conquest etc...

I don't think anyone is going to use it as its just called 'PS3Trophies.org'. If it was one game type only (Conquest preferably) and called 'PS3Trophies.org Conquest Epic Battles' or something, it would start to populate.

agree with all this, personally i think a tdm and cq mix would suit me best as i know they are the 2 most favoured game modes, but i depends what other people want.
are we going to need 2 servers? and if so who will buy the other one?

Edit: even if people dont like tdm a round of one will only last about 6m

Yeah I agree with Oliver... Maybe have PS3T in the Server name, but give the name something else too so it will populate more.

That's a good question, as more than 40 people have signed up so far.

It depends on the situation, but I'll be more than happy to help with renting a server if it's needed

Any chance we can use this for the PS3T clan game night this coming saturday (5/19)? I was planning to rent a 1-day server for us, but if we could just use yours instead, I'll save my $1.50 for another time.

I really don't think that's how it works for the initial fill. Eventually quick match will populate your server, it doesn't matter what it's running. However, once it's filled quick match will eventually stop directing people to your server. At that point, the more popular ones like high ticket metro, or 500 TDM on canals continue to stay full because people favorite them and keep coming back. Normal rotations tend to eventually empty and you have to wait for quick match to kick in again. This is all just based on my experience not official DICE info or anything.

that would mean olsen would have to make oliver admin, that might be helpful if oliver was hosting the site gamenight.
