Default How to Hold a Grenade Before Throwing It

Exactly as the title of this thread states, there is a way to hold a grenade before you throw it. I understand that there's not a ton of use for this, but it's a cool trick nonetheless.

Anyway, doing this is pretty simple.

Tap like you would normally for a grenade throw. After doing that, quickly press and hold to keep the grenade in your hand. You should now be holding the grenade and it won't be thrown until you release .

Edit: While holding the grenade, you can back-out of this process by tapping . If you don't release quickly enough after doing this, your weapon will obviously begin to fire.

It works for me every time, but I suppose I can't speak for everyone.

On the other hand, if they are just standing there with a grenade, it will make them easier targets!

Although, if you get shot while holding the grenade, I wonder if it will drop like when you're in the process of throwing one. That would be great if someone took your dog tags or killed you at close-range and the grenade dropped.

Thanks!

On a few rare occasions, I have been able to hold a grenade in my hand without the pin being pulled. I didn't have to hold down any buttons or anything, it was like I had equipped it or something. I have no idea how I did it, though.

This is actually quite useful, I have stopped using the grenade as much because I simply can't get the kills with it but this should help.

It can also just be used as a way of making campers get out from their cover

I've heard about this, But it doesn't actually "cook" the grenade does it? It just holds it without pulling the pin.

If it cooked that would be sweet!

We need that without doubt! Hope it's in the next patch... If there's ever gonna be one

Am I the only one who already knew about this trick since the first day BF3 came out?
