Battlefield 3 Trophy Guide and Roadmap + Ribbon Guide

Overview: - Estimated trophy difficulty: 7/10 - Offline: 20 ( 18  1  1  ) - Online: 19 ( 10 5 3 1 )- Approximate amount of time to get all trophies: 100+ Hours Heavily dependant on skill of the player due to the Colonel trophy. - Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 1 (levels can be replayed) - Number of missable trophies: None - Glitched trophies: - Do cheats disable trophies?: There are no cheats - Does difficulty affect trophies?: Yes, you need to playthrough the campaign on hard, and the co-op on hard. Introduction: Battlefield 3 is the latest game in Dice's Battlefield series. It is powered on the new Frostbite 2 game engine which takes animation, scale, destruction, rendering and audio to a new level, never seen before in any other game. It features 9 maps and 5 game modes: Conquest, Rush, Squad Rush, Team deathmatch and squad deathmatch. The maps vary from wide open vehicular maps such as Caspian border to small tight city streets in Operation Metro. Vehicles play a big part in Battlefield, so if your team has control of the skies and seas, you will benefit much more when fighting on the land. Platinum Difficulty Rating - The Poll for the platinum difficulty.  Step 1 - Completing Campaign on hard Firstly you will want to play through the singleplayer to get a feel of the game. The quickest route would be to play through it on hard so you receive the Ooh-rah! and Semper Fidelis trophies, as the difficulty trophies stack. If you want to enjoy the campaign on an easier level you can play through it on a lower difficulty and still receive the Ooh-rah! trophy. While you are playing through the campaign you will want to go for the trophies Not on my watch, Involuntary Euthanasia, The Professional, Army of Darkness, Practice makes perfect, What the hell *are* you?, Roadkill, Twofor, Butterfly and Scrap Metal. These trophies all require you to do a certain act in the campaign to unlock them, and they all range in difficulty. There are also other campaign trophies which may take a bit longer to get such as You can be my wingman anytime. This trophy make take a bit of practise to get it right. Step 2 - Co-op I would advise you to first play through the six co-op missions on a lower difficulty with a partner to make sure you know what do when it comes to playing it on hard mode, that will get you the Two-rah! trophy. Once you have completed it on hard you will get the Army of Two trophy. You will want to find yourself a good co-op partner to get the other co-op trophies such as Ninjas, Push On, Car Lover, In the nick of time, Bullseye and Untouchable. Step 3 - Multiplayer As with the single player, in multiplayer you will want to play a couple of matches first to get used to the maps and guns. You may get the Most valuable player, 1st loser and Its better than nothing! trophies while playing anyway. If not you will want to have a look at the trophy in the guide for how to do it. You will then want to clear up the rest of the multiplayer trophies such as the M.I.A trophy and the Efficiency ones: Infantry Efficiency, Support Efficiency and Vehicle Efficiency. You will then want to focus soley on getting the Decorated trophy, by getting every ribbon in the game. All XP you earn through the entire process of earning these trophies will help you receive the Colonel trophy, for reaching level 45. You need 1,875,000 xp to reach level 45. Step 4 -Clean up Missed out on a campaign related trophy? Missing a co op trophy? Then nows your time to get these trophies. At the end of the step you should have all trophies, congrats! Battlefield 3 Trophy Guide and Roadmap
  Platinum Trophy Collect all other Battlefield 3 trophies To earn this trophy you need to collect all other Campaign, Co-op and Multiplayer trophies, excluding any DLC trophies.   Not on my watch Protect Chaffin from the soldiers in the street in Operation Swordbreaker This is the first main mission you do in the game. The mission is called Operation SwordBreaker, about half way through the level you objective will be to kill the sniper hiding in a building, you will make your way up onto the roof. Once you kill him with the ATV you will be told to cover *from enemies on the streets. The first batch of enemies come from *the middle of the right side street*+ 3 on the building just next to this, the next batch of enemies come from further up the street them finally a few more at the streets end*+ a few on the right building with 3 balconies in the distance. Use the Sniper to kill the quickly. If you managed to protect Chaffin and you killed 95% of the enemies yourself the trophy will unlock when your are about to leave the building your on.  Involuntary Euthanasia Kill the 2 soldiers before the building falls on them in Uprising This is the mission after Operation Swordbreaker, this mission is called uprising. Once you finish the part in the car park and when your in the garage where the enemies open up the door there will be a bus straight after in the middle of the road, you have to go through it to advance in the story so don't worry about missing it. An RPG will hit the bus once your hit in it and knock you down, roughly 3-5 enemies will be on the other side of the bus, kill these WITHOUT leaving the bus. Once there all dead you will see the faint shadow of a solider, headshot him (He is one of the 2 soliders). Run out of the bus and onto the street. You'll see the other solider stand up, quickly throw a few grenades and go crazy shooting him, hurry as you only get about 3secs before the building collapses. Try and pick up a gun with a zoom scope so you can see the soldiers better. If done correctly the trophy will pop soon after. If you miss the soldiers restart the checkpoint.  The Professional Complete the street chase in Comrades in under 2 minutes 30 seconds without dying In the mission Comrades you will be going through a car park at first, then a smartly furnished building. Upon exiting this building you will be in the streets. You need to complete the chase in under 2mins 30secs. The main piece of advice I can give you is to play on easy and quickly shoot the enemies. Don't hang around in cover as you need to be as fast as you can. Another important piece of advice is DON'T DIE, if you die you will not unlock the trophy.  Army of Darkness Shoot out the 4 lights with 4 bullets in Night Shift At the very start of the mission Night Shift you will be tasked with shooting out 4 lights so your squad can land. There's 4 lights in total that you’ll need to shoot so your squad can land safely. Hold :L3: to hold your breath with the sniper and then aim at the light very carefully and shoot it. You have to destroy all 4 with 4 bullets. If you miss any then redraft the checkpoint.  Practice makes perfect Headshot each of the targets in the gun range in Kaffarov During the mission Kaffarov you will eventually reach and enter a mansion. Once inside you will reach a target practice area where black wooden targets pop up at you. Make sure you kill all the enemies in here first though, you don't want to be trying this with people shooting at you. Take your time to line up the headshots, theres no time limit so make sure you get a* headshot.  What the hell *are* you? Take a russian Dog Tag in the forest ambush in Rock And A Hard Place During the mission Rock and a hard place you will be going along through the forest in a humvee, you will be ambushed and forced to exit the car. Run up to one of the Russian soliders and stealth kill him from behind. Don't just smack him with the knife to make him dizzy, you have to stealth kill one of them. Try doing this on easy to make things easier for you. Credit to Wozamil for the video:  Roadkill Kick the car to kill the soldiers in Uprising In the mission Uprising you will reach a car park (just after the but when the enemies start randomly shooting the osprey helicopter). You will be tasked with clearing out the car park. Don't alert the soliders and head to the right. You will see two cars and one will be practically hanging off the edge, the game will prompt you to press  and then repeatedly tap the trophy will unlock shortly after doing this. You can be my wingman anytime Complete Going Hunting in a perfect run For this trophy you need to complete 'Going Hunting' perfectly, this means: • Not missing a single jet, One missile used on each of the seven jets. You cannot miss a shot! If you do you'll have to restart the level which can be annoying. So make sure that you line up your shots perfectly. Wozamil shows you in the video the places you need to fire to make sure you hit the jets. • Not getting hit by a single missile, you cannot get hit by any missiles at all or the trophy won't unlock. It's not hard to avoid the missiles, you just have to press L1 to use your countermeasures (Flares). Once you get the timing right you will have no trouble avoiding the missiles. Wozamil shows you when to use the countermeasures in the video so make sure you watch carefully! The trophy will pop when the screen goes black and loads the other part of the mission above the airport and if you did the run perfectly. Video by Wozamil  Scrap Metal Destroy 6 enemy tanks before reaching the fort in Thunder Run During the mission Thunder Run you will be driving a tank. To get this trophy you have to destroy 6 tanks before reaching the fort. To get this trophy easily shoot the enemy tanks that appear before progressing any further on in the mission. Theres a lot more than 6 tanks so this shouldn't be too difficult for you. Credit to Wozamil for the video:  Butterfly Take down the jet in one attempt in Rock And A Hard Place During the mission Rock and Hard Place level you will reach a point in the level where a fighter jet is shooting at you and your squad. To get this you have to run up the road to get the stinger to take it out. When the jet makes a run by shelter by some of the wrecked cars so you don't die. Once you get the stinger aim carefully at the jet and once it looks on, shoot. It has to be done with one missile. Same as You can be my wingman anytime you have to get this in one go, redrafting the checkpoint will not work. Back out to the main menu and replay the mission again.  Twofor Take down 2 enemies with 1 bullet in Night Shift During the mission Night Shift you will reach a part in the mission where there are two enemies standing pretty close together and your mate asks you to shoot them. You need to make sure to align your shot so you kill the 2 with one bullet. It's not that hard as the walk really slowly and it's easy to take a shot. If you somehow miss you can just restart from the checkpoint. There is also another opportunity to get this trophy. When going to pick up your transport heli with Al basir near the end. Four enemies come through one doorway, and then another four after. You easily get two or three 1 shot 2 kills here. Credit to Wozamil for the video:  Ooh-rah! Complete the campaign story Complete the campaign on any difficulty, will unlock after you complete the final mission 'The Great Destroyer'. See Semper Fidelis for tips.  Between a rock and a hard place Beat Solomon, flawlessly, in The Great Destroyer During the final mission The Great Destroyer, at the very end you have to fight solomon hand to hand by pressing quick time buttons, there's quite a few buttons to press but you have plenty of time to react so be careful what buttons tour pressing. You have to beat him flawlessly remember so if he gets a hit on you, you'll have to restart the checkpoint. you’ll need to beat him without taking damage. If you don't want to know how the ending goes don't watch the video as I feel there's some spoilers in it, Credit to Wozamil for the video:  Semper Fidelis Complete the campaign story on Hard For this trophy you have to complete the story start to finish on Hard. Only a few missions caused me trouble such as when your in the bank during the mission 'Operation Guillotine'. Hard is actually quite hard compared to some other games hard difficulty but it isn't as hard a Veteran in Call of Duty. The best tips I can give you are: • Prone: Prone will save you life, enemies can't shoot you if your laying down behind an object so take this to your advantage. • Your Squad: Most the missions in the game involve your squad, they are very helpful AI and will always get kills, there also invincible so take this to your advantage. Always let your squad go into areas first never be ahead of them. • Ammo Crates: Abuse these, hang around by them and you will always have an unlimited supply of grenades and ammo, so you can just spam grenades at the enemy. • Take your time: There's no rush, no time limit. You can hang around a place for as long as you want. Always make sure everybody has been killed before advancing on with the mission. Somebody hiding in the bushes can 2 hit kill you and make you start back at the checkpoint! Which us never good. • Stealth Kills: If you can always stealth kill, to do this go up behind the enemy and press :R1: to stab/stealth kill them. The reason for this is in some missions going loud will attract a lot of attention and bring more enemies than necessary.   Push On Reach the garage without going into man-down state in Hit and Run During the mission 'Hit and Run' the objective is to reach the garage. To achieve this trophy neither player can go into man down state, this is when a player needs to be revived. If one of you goes into man down state restart the mission.  Two-rah! Complete all co-op missions There are 6 co op missions in total, these are: • Operation Exodus • Fire From The Sky • Exfiltration • Hit and Run • Drop em Like Liquid • The Eleventh Hour To unlock the trophy you have to complete all of them on any difficulty.  Lock 'n' Load Unlock all unique co-op weapons This trophy is one of the very few grinding trophies in the game, you have to reach 441,000xp to unlock all the co op weapons. Keep replaying your favourite co-op mission and this won't seem so bad. The KH2002 is unlocked with 126000 co-op points, the MP7 with 189000 co-op points, the m39 emr with 252000 coop points, the 93r 315000 points, the sg553 378000 points and the g3a3 441000 points.  Car Lover Complete the mission without losing a humvee in Operation Exodus This can be a real pain in the ass if: a) you don't know how to work in a team b) your doing this with a random online player Make sure you do this with a friend and have good communication with each over. You cannot lose a single humvee if you do then you will have to restart. Remember to put claymores down and take out the RPGs ASAP as these are dangerous people! Make sure you do this on easy. Here is a video, credit to Powerpyx  In the nick of time Disarm the bomb in under 20 seconds in The Eleventh Hour You should have no problem with this trophy. Once you get to the first train part you will see a counter on the screen starting at 60secs, you must defuse the bomb with at least 20secs left on the timer. If your partner covers you while you go for the bomb straight away then you'll have no problem disarming it quickly. Here is a video, credit to Powerpyx  Bullseye Reach and save the hostages without alerting any enemies in Drop 'em Like Liquid This is one of the hardest trophies in the game, if you don't have a mic then this trophy is going to be a million times harder for you. You have to time your shots together and tell each other who you'll shoot e.g "I'll shoot the one on the left, you the right". You'll also need to shoot at the exact same time or one of the guards will call it in on his 'Bluetooth headset' fancy! Right first of all you have to go in the sewers, there's 1 guard down here so make sure he doesn't see you! There's a few guys in the building to, this part can be annoying as you have to shoot the guards at close range. Once this bits out the way you sniping skills come into play! Make sure you use the tripod on your sniper by pressing L1 on a stomach high object, this will make the sniper shots steady as they can be. Aim for headshots and time them with your buddy. You will eventually come to a hard section with hostages in 2 buses, you will have to take one bus while your partner takes the other. Theres 2 guards in each bus. Once this is out the way you have to do the dreaded part with 3 enemies together, when shooting the guards go crazy firing bullets as the game isn't the best at registering shots. Once you've cleared the guards out in the building the trophy will pop. Here's a video by Powerpyx showing how it's done:  Untouchable Complete the mission without using the fire extinguisher in Fire From The Sky First things first: DON'T PRESS  AT ANY POINT IN THE ENTIRE MISSION! THIS IS THE BUTTON TO USE FIRE EXTINGUISHERSIf you or your partner are good at flying a helicopter you will have no problem with this, make sure you/your partner can shoot the enemies quick and easy and don't have the helicopter pilot wobbling everywhere. Good team skills are needed.  Army of Two Complete all co-op missions on Hard Same as Two-Rah bit this time you need to complete all the co op missions on hard. None of them are too difficult it's just the same as campaign.  Ninjas Reach the VIP without setting off the alarm in Exfiltration This is pretty straight forward, the alarm will be set off if you: A) Get seen by a CCTV camera There's a red blinking light in these, make sure you remember where abouts they are as there well hidden. B) Get seen by an enemy Usually going around in pairs so make sure you and your partner shoot them at the sane time. Make sure you work as a team to get this trophy as could team skills are needed. Make sure you tell each other who your going to shoot. Also if you have a mic count 3, 2, 1 and then both shoot. If you don't have a mic then wait until both of you are ready, wait until your partner shoots then straight away shoot the other guy/camera.   Decorated Received one of each ribbon in the game There's 45 ribbons in total, each ribbon is awarded for completing different tasks, such as winning a game of conquest, of getting x amount of kills with a certain gun in a match. Here is a list of all 45 ribbons in the game you can receive and how to get them, plus the amount of XP you get. Kill Related Ribbons Assault Rifle Ribbon (200 XP) In a round, kill 7 enemies with Assault Rifles
Machine Gun Ribbon (200 XP) In a round, kill 7 enemies with Machine Guns
Carbine Ribbon (200 XP) In a round, kill 7 enemies with Carbines

MVP Ace Squad Ribbon (500 XP) In a round, be part of the best squad

 It's better than nothing! Finish as 3rd MVP in a ranked match For this trophy you need to come in third place on the leader board. For this trophy I would just play as normal and try to get to top of the leader board. Near the end of the match (you will know if its near the end due to the amount of respawn tickets left) check your score and see where you place on the leader board. If you are 2nd or 1st then maybe wait at your spawn and wait for people to overtake you, and once you get to third go and start getting points again. If you are on hardcore then IF WORST COMES TO WORST you may have to team kill to get your points down. As I have said before this is not good battlefield behaviour and I would not advise you to do this at any other time.  Support Efficiency Obtain all 4 support efficiency ribbons There are four support ribbons your need to earn, one for Assault, support, engineer and recon. For the assault you need the Resupply efficiency ribbon. For that you need to get 7 resuplies in one match. The engineer one you need to do 7 repairs in one match. The medic one you need medical efficiency where you need to revive 5 teammates in one match. And for the recon you need the surveillance efficiency one where you need to get five motion sensor assists. Got to the 'Decorated' trophy for extra info.  Colonel Achieve rank 45 This is most likely one of the last trophies you will have left to get to the platinum. You will need to get your main level up to level 45, out of the 145 levels in this game. You can use any class you want, as all XP you get goes towards your main level. You will also unlock perks and guns along the way. Achieving rank 45 will take quite a lot of time so to speed it up, and just do generally better in all game modes, have a read of this guide, which should help you achieve rank 45 faster, and help you become a better Battlefield player in the long run. Firstly you are going to need to find the game mode that you play best in, and get the most points in, because after all, the fastest way to get this trophy would be to get the most XP possible. The game mode you get most points out of would either be Rush or Conquest. Blowing up and defending M-Com stations gets you a lot of points, but having a good team is essential to getting the most points possible. If you dont have a good team that pushes forward with you, you wont get many points. Conquest is all about wide open maps and big battles. Playing as a team will get you more points, but is not essential for success. Capturing flags for your team will get you a lot of points, and so will defending flags if you manage to repel the attack. You also need to remember the team play actions you can do such as repairing vehicles with your repair tool, reviving team-mates, spotting enemies, and giving out health and ammo boxes. All of these actions help rake in the points and help you level up towards 45. Spotting is especially important as you can get points and help out your team. Like I said before in the other trophy description, you just need to aim for first, and you need to check your position near the end of the match and adjust it to become second on the leader board. You may need to stay back and stop advancing to lower your position or if you are on hardcore and WORST COMES TO WORST you may have to team kill to get your points down. As I have said before this is not good battlefield behaviour and I would not advise you to do this at any other time.  Most Valuable Player Finish as MVP in a ranked match To get this trophy you need to be the Most valuable player, and end the match at the top of the leader board. To do this you need the most amount of points out of everyone else in your team. The less amount of players in the match the better. To get this you would of probably have needed to play through the maps and have an idea of were everything is. While you are doing that you will also get a feel for the classes and figure out what the best one is for your playstyle, and what your favourite weapon to use in that class is. If there are vehicles on that map be an engineer and destroy them. If your team is assaulting a flag or base be a support class and give them ammo or be an assault and give them a heath by pressing  Be at the trop of the leader board at the end and the trophy is yours. M.I.A Obtain your first enemy Dog Tag For this trophy you need to stab an enemy player in multiplayer with your knife. To get your knife out hold  Then run around the map and try to find an enemy to stab. Stick to the outside of the map so you can flank the enemy. Go for snipers as they wont see you coming or go for people in windows in the top floors of buildings in maps such as Operation Metro, as you can get behind them by just going up the stairs. Your character automatically picks up the dogtags so you don't need to worry about that, just knife them for the trophy.

  Shock Troop  Survived the quake At the end of the mission (operaton Swordbreaker), while you are gunning down the enemy on the mounted gun, an earthquake will take place. This will result In a building falling on top of you and the mission will end. This is story related and cannot be missed, so carry on playing the campaign and the trophy will pop.  Wanted: Dead or Alive Captured Al Bashir After you cover the team with your sniper in your position in the mission 'Night Shift' you will be told over radio that Al Bashir is escaping by car. You then need to run onto the rooftop to your right by following the marker. Switch out to your machine gun and spray his car with bullets. If you have done it correctly his car will crash, you and your partner will run over to the vehicle. The trophy will pop then.  Where are the other two? Found the nuke This is a story related trophy and is unmissable. At the end of the mission your team will end the safe room in the building and search it. Once you have helped your team mates get the crate lid off, you will discover the nuke.  This is the end Failed to prevent the attack Story related cannot be missed. Will unlock when you complete the mission 'Comrades'  No Escape Captured Kaffarov Story related cannot be missed.
 FlashForward Completed Semper Fidelis This is the first mission in the game.

Oliver FUCKING great guide! But in the difficulty info in the roadmap you only noted campaign on hard, you will also need Co-op on hard.
