You're right. No equipment is available from the start but essentially after 1-2 matches you'll unlock it cause stuff like TUGS/C4/Defrib are all the first unlocks for kits at 4000-5000 points.

I would suggest finding servers that only rotate between air vehicle maps. Such as Caspian Border, Operation Firestorm etc. Always try and get into a jet or helicopter at the very beginning of the map. That way you will have more time to learn how to fly and eventually you will get better at it. I thought it was really hard in the beginning too, but after giving it a bit of time I now find it really easy to handle jets and helicopters. So, just give it some time and you will get it. Also try and find someone to fly with in the helicopters, someone on the forums maybe, and get into gunner seat, for example in a HAVOC, it is pretty easy to rack up 6 kills in a game while in the gunner seat.

Finally got "You can be my wingman anytime". I think a patch changed something because I tried to shoot when you shoot, but it would never hit. Like with the first one I had to shoot after the first set of flares it dumped, if I tried after the second the enemy jet would tilt left and the missile would miss everytime.

In the end I just did it by judgement, I missed the very last one but got him with the cannon rounds.

At least I have every campaign trophy now.

For Butterfly, do you have to go through the whole mission without dying or just that specific chapter in the jet part (so that the trophy won't glitch)? Or has this glitch been resolved in the newest patch?

It effects different people in different ways, I personally got it first time on hard. I died on the field area but I didn't die at the jet part, still got the trophy.

Well I just died at the beginning of the level so I'm gonna play it safe and restart the whole mission. And try to go without dying but even if I do die, I'll still try to get that trophy. I'll just make sure I don't die at the jet part. And I'm also playing on Hard. I'll report back later who it goes.

Got the platinum today.

A great tip for You can be my wingman anytime: only use the Cannon. That way you won'y miss any shots with missiles. You can only shoot to the front of the plane so just wait until a target passes in front of you and then simply hold R1. It will take pretty many hits to destroy the target but you have all the time you need.
