![]() The SKS is alright. Better with a 3.4x or something, but it isn't anything special. Its only benefit is to people like us who have a cocaine fueled trigger finger that really pump out the shots because it has a high rate of fire despite being a semi-auto. The SKS has that larger mag that might save your life too. Use a PDW or a Shotgun if you want to CQB Recon though. Its the best option imo. Hell, put a 7x Op on the AS VAL, and BOOM, VSS ala BC2.

I always used the Recon class as a marksman role rather than a sniping role, so I would often use either Holo sights, ACOG, or M145 when I could. The Recon's weapons have amazing damage potential that is lost over range, but up close the semi-auto rifles dominate, doing up to 50 damage per bullet. Skillful use of these rifles can mean very quick and easy kills, but the trick is to maintain a distance where most enemies will have a difficult time hitting you consistently or surprise them with flanking maneuvers. After doing Recon for so long, attacking head-on using the Assault's full-auto weapons seems almost cheap and easy

To shorten it, a marksman engages mid-to-long range as part of a squad, while a sniper is off on their own shooting from extreme ranges. |

Ok I was a bit vague so perhaps a set up. I am currently equiping the EMR with the Holo or ACOG (havent decided yet which i like more) Foregrip and swapping beyween laser and silencer. I have been trying to get the majority of my kills at mid range. At CQ I am running off rounds like rambo, which is one of the reasons i chose the EMR.
Can't run the 98B yet, I don't have it unlocked. I would run a P90, but I'm really trying to get the Sniper Medal so sticking with sniper rifles for now. BTW you guys may be interested in this page... GUNS. LOTS OF GUNS. Last edited by cpnneeda; 02-09-2012 at 11:51 PM. |

Hey, there's a good chance I'll be late to tomorrow night's game night. Some family is coming over. Also, I'm not sure if I'll make Saturday's game night or not since that's my mom's b-day.
