This is the Best SuperHero game EVER, Its is one of the best game you can find in 2009, Even if your not a Batman fan, You will enjoy it alot, Who knows......Maybe it has a big chance to win Game of the Year 2009.

Story: 9 - Those fans of batman can take pride in knowing that the game developers did rather well sticking to the villains of old. The mannerisms, speech, and overall environments/lairs of the villains was true to the movies/comics. There was very little that kept this from being rated a 10 by me. Namely the physical location of the ********* was beneath Arkham instead of its normal location underneath *********. Aside from that, the devs did very well incorporating the story into the game.
Gameplay: 9 - The smoothness of the game and the flow as you follow Harley and Joker deep into the Asylum (rather, around the campus of the Asylum) kept me intrigued throughout the game. What kept it from a 10 was the camera assist. Granted this can be turned off, but I do like to play the game as intended by the creators. The camera angles chosen in some platforming scenes left much to be desired. Turning the assist off for a few sections, I thought, enhanced gameplay and allowed you an unobstructed view.
Controls: 8 - A bit wonky at first, it took some getting use to, but of course, what game doesn't when you first pick it up. Keeping some of the special moves secret until the time to use them was a bit weird to me. I can understand special takedowns being kept unequipped until purchased, but standard moves like a ground takedown or cape slash seemed a bit off.
Graphics: 10 - Honestly, the best graphics I have encountered for a game of its type. 3rd-person Action/Adventure games with a relatively large playing area usually take a hit when it comes to graphics so that they can fit more of a story and allow more free-roaming of the playfield. Batman did no such thing. Granted there were more stationary objects, so not all of the environment could be interacted with, but negating that ability allowed for more of a focus on graphics. With today's NG systems, graphics is as important as gameplay. I felt there was quite a well-balanced mix.
Sound: 9 - I would have preferred a bit more whispering about being killed at times (yes, Bioshock has trained me to enjoy that sort of masochism) but I still felt the sound helped with the gameplay extraordinarily. The sound track allowed you to hear which direction enemies were coming from as well as being able to hear the difference between walking/running. What kept it from a 10? The constant verbal abuse by the joker when restarting challenge levels. /me shakes fist angerly at Rumble In The Jungle (Extreme)
Wow Factor: 9 - I played the demo so I had an idea that this game would be more like a rail-game and not allow for free-roam. I figured it would be go here, do this, then this unlocks to go here, and do this. While the story did play out as such, there was still the roaming around areas after you defeated an enemy before finishing the game and unlocking free-roaming around the campus.
Replay Value: 8 (i only kept replaying the challenges) - The story itself was rather short and for me I probably would not replay it. Being an attempt-at-an-elitist as I am, I am constantly replaying the challenge levels to up my score. The joker maps (which we should all have) and the scarecrow map (which some may not....yet) keep you quite entertained. It was surprising to see that the joker was not just a skin but that he had his own moves and weaponry that varied from Batman's arsenal of goodies.

Your Personal Verdict & Your Final Score: 8.9 - Based on all I stated above I felt an 8.9 was a deserving score. The various lacking features as I described kept the game from achieving a higher mark. Could a multiplayer have heightened the game? Perhaps, but with all the gadgets one could obtain it would seem difficult to incorporate that into a multiplayer version, unless you crippled the characters to only a few basic fighting techniques and gadgets. So if you have the time, get the game. Enjoy some Batman story lines, and prepare to waste countless hours being frustrated wondering how hard to throw the controller through the tv to make the pain go away at the challenge levels.

Story: 9 - Great story that keeps you compelled the whole time. Fans of batman will be happy with the stylistic choices of the game, for the developers stayed true to the comics.

Gameplay: 10 - Fantastic combat system that reminded me a lot of the god of war franchise (nothing wrong with that ) The camera flowed well throughout the game as well.

Controls: 9 - The only reason this isn't a 10 is because they take a little bit getting used to. But once you get the feel down you find that kicking henchmen arse is effortless and feels great.

Graphics: 10 - Best graphics to date on a game like this (i expect gow3 will surpass this however). Between batman's movements or the cut scenes everything looks great.

Sound: 9 - Sounds great especially with a good sound system. The music during fight scenes as well as the changes depending on what you were doing were great. Also i felt the gadget sound effects were pretty sweet. The only thing that annoyed me was some repetitive audio during the challenges where the joker harasses you, which wouldn't be so bad if you didn't have to start a challenge over repetitively because you missed the time limit by mere seconds (gahhh shock and awe extreme!).

Wow Factor: 10 - A game that has a great story as well as free roam, also the riddle challenges were very fun especially if you're a fan a batman and appreciate all of the character bios etc. Just a great game.

Replay Value: 9.5 - The challenges are difficult enough to keep you going, also the story is good enough that you can play through it more than once.

Story: 9 The story like all parts of the game is really solid. Its not very long but there's plenty of stuff to keep you occupied. Plus if your a batman fan there's tons of stuff to keep you entertained, such as batman's villains and allies facts etc. The patient interviews are really good too, I especially liked the zsasz ones.
Gameplay: 10 The gameplay is really smooth, it works very well. The combat is great and so is the stealth. There is only one button for attack/strike but its not repetitive at all. There are plenty of variations of attacking. The stealth requires you to sneak around the room by crouching, grappling from statue gargoyles on the walls or hide under vents. Plus i haven't found any glitches or bugs.
Controls: 9 The controls work really well, I played the demo a few times so I already new the controls when playing the game, however I feel they might be a bit odd when you start, but once you get used to them their brilliant.
Graphics:9 The graphics are great, one of the best looking games for the ps3. The in-game cut-scenes (the ones where you can move the camera) look just as good as the game itself so its all gooood.
Sound:8 The sound of beating up joker's thugs is very satisfying and the music/ soundtrack is very fitting.
Wow Factor: 10 I never thought anything of this game a few months ago but after reading the review which gave it a 9 I downloaded the demo of the psn store, i loved it instantly, pre-ordered it. Its an instant classic
Replay Value:9 The riddler challengers will keep you occupied for a few more hours plus the challenges are fun and difficult enough to make a challenge.

I loved the film the dark knight, and i know many others did. Just think this as the dark knight in a game. It follows on the tradition of batman, which is nice to see.

I'll do a quick review but I won't be writing that much.

Story: 10

The story in this game is very good it has twists your never see coming, great characters and is very well told.

Gameplay: 10

The gameplay is also very good the way the fighting and combo system works is good and so are the gadgets, before I played the game I thought the fighting would get repetitive but it never does.

Controls: 9

Again good will take a little while to get used to but when you do it is quite easy. The only minor problem I have with the controls is when you select a gadget sometimes you will select the wrong one by accident but that might just be me.

Graphics: 9

The graphics are very good for this type of game but not the best I have seen.

Sound: 8

The sound for me was the only thing that wasn't as good while still good it lacks slighty from the standard the rest of the game sets.

Wow Factor: 10

You will be blown away at times playing this game a few times I said to myself "wow that was awesome".

Replay Value: 9

With the challenge rooms as well as the main story there is a lot to keep you busy.

So close to a 10 but I couldn't quite give it one. Game of the year so far(for me anyway).

Story: 9. The story is pretty nice but not something to crazy, for example like one of recent games infamous. Ye Joker gets on asylum, ye he is crazy, this goes for alot of games, but since is a comic book game, the story will get a 9, even tho should be a 8
Gameplay: 9. Everything its great, asylum look amazing u feel like ur batman, and who doesnt want to feel like batman, but there is structure pop in, like walls that really pissed me off like 3-4 times, my game stops working at times, maybe is just my copie, but there are a few technical proablems which i dont really like to see.
Controls: 10. Amazing, everything its easy, and simple without any frustration, all the gadgets are easy to use, so is combat very simple, and the vision mode, scaning all works great.
Graphics: 9. the graphics are great, really everything looks amazing but cant give it a 10 since ive seen better, in recent games
Sound: 10. yea the characters voices a perfect, guards sound stupid and the lip movement doesnt match, but w.e not a big issue, plus i enjoyed the music
Wow Factor: 8. nothing crazyy, the asylum island is the biggest wow, and plus some puzzels made me say wow 2, like finding those ? marks
Replay Value: 7. well i have to replay it to get my plat, but if u are smart and do it on hard right away, there no point for replaying, challenge rooms will keep u busy 4 a lil, but alot of ppl may give up, some are damn hard

Great story, everything is well planned and nothing happens for no reason, good gameplay, a little less running aroung for no reason would've been a bit better, controls are not very easy to master in the combat challanges, sound gets really reprtetive in challange mode, maybe two replays at the most without multiplayer and a lot of hours for challaanges.....

8/10, great game....

The story is simple but fits the game well.Nothing overboard,nothing too boring.Joker takes over Arkham,Batman must stop him and he's locked in with the inmates he put in there.

Gameplay-9

Fighting,exploring,sneaking,this game makes you feel as if you were the Bat.

Their easy to pick up and master,however sometimes when I'd go to quick throw a batarang it wouldn't work as it should and that can be a pain.

Graphics-10

This game is beautiful.Batman,Joker,all the charcters look amazing.The backgrounds are great.

Sound-9

The voice acting is spot on,however sometimes the sound would go out for me.I ended up turning on subtitles so I wouldn't miss anything.

Wow Factor-9.5

The fights for me were the biggest wow factor,the cut scenes look amazing.Fighting Bane was also another one.It has plenty all together.

Replay Value-8

The story mode is really short,it dissapointed me.The combat and Predator challenges will keep me going,I will play story mode again,but just not now I don't want to get burnt out on the game.

Rent of Buy

I say buy it even if you are not a Batman fan.It's well worth the money.If you can't afford it you must rent it to experience this game.
