Blackmarsh fade impassible?

I completed the story parts in the blackmarsh and head toward the northwest part of the map and then defeated the queen of the blackmarsh after only finding four of the five parts required for the battle. then picked up the fifth in the battle. now that its over, i cant pass the fade to leave the area. are there any tricks to fixing this, or will i have to play the expansion over again?
