Year 2 repeating itself?

I decided to finally get back into Meruru and just finished my 2nd Year - thing is, when it ticked over to 1/1, it was still in Year 2. It even says so on my save file. Is this merely a graphical error, or did I somehow just score myself an extra year to play with?

Yeah with the years, it's 1 year since the story of the game began. So in a way, it's a good thing since without it, that would mean like what 4 months less in the game if it tried being more literal.

The same goes for Totori and Rorona.

In Rorona a new Year begins in January like normal and in Totori a new Year begins in June.

Well I didn't say that Rorona and Totori's story started in April, just that Meruru's starts in April and so it would be 1 year would be the next April. Totori 1 year would be the next June and Rorona would be every January.
