They do stack. But i guess you meant S ranking on different difficulties. Then yes, it is a bit of a drag, considering you have to play the game using 2 different gauges as well.

nice guide man...

my first playthrough was on hard because the other difficulties were just sad. it made me enjoy asura wrath more. now to find out i have to get s-ranks on all hard chapters is great. half-way there anyways.

A very well put together guide

My step-by-step process for only 3 playthroughs went more like this though,

Step. 1 Hard mode playthrough aim for S ranks, got some A's though.

Step. 2 Normal mode playthrough with the Blind Master gauge equipped (literally after hard this was a joke) Still aiming for S they come alot easier now.

Step. 2.5 Now use the Augur and Devastator gauges to get S ranks on any Normal or Hard episodes you may not have yet.

Final Step. Easy mode playthrough with the Mortal gauge, just beat it period. Learned in the way's of Wrath quite well now, this hardly posed any problems
