does it count if you just call your assassins, and they kill nearby guards? or do you actually have to "lock" onto a "target" first? and then call your assassins? i guess i really havent been paying attention to this. i dont remember how it worked in brotherhood either.

i kinda figured this out myself lol. almost all the enemies/guards i see walking around have that heavy armor, so when i try to grab them, they just shove my hands away. i was just foolin around yesterday and i grabbed a civvie and shoved him into a scaffold. i got that msg sayin ezio didnt kill civilians lol. and then i was chased by a bunch of guards -_- i checked in the dna sequence and i saw that it did count towards the challenge

i think its just been easier for me to start combos off by countering. i think im having a harder time doing combos than i did in brotherhood. for some reason, it just seemed to come much more easily in brotherhood. i find here, the enemies tend to attack sooner, giving me less time to get in more kills. or maybe im just rusty. -_-

i also find the enemy placement a bit weird and sporadic. its either too many or too few. i either see mostly 4 people squads that wander in a path that pretty much doesnt run into other enemies. or i see multiple squads all together. and when i try to start a fight, i either cant get enough ppl invovled, or it gets a tad overwhelming when multiple groups join in, and then super annoying when its opposing factions of ottoman guards and byzantine soldiers joining the fray and start fighting each other. im trying to target someone in front of me and then someone starts hitting me from behind and it kinda turns into a clusterfuck

Locking on to a target to takes no more than half a second. Better to lock on and ensure that you get the challenge done than waste hours running around without any progress.

well, im only in the middle of sequence 3, and ive managed to complete almost all of the guild challenges. lol. i decided to just go around maxing everything out, so i dont have to worry about them later, even tho the majority of these things i probably could have got thru regular gameplay. but atm, i think i have almost all of the miscellaneous trophies, except for the master assassin ones. aside from that, pretty much the only things left are collectibles and story related.

i probably could have played thru the story and got most of the challenges done along the way, but at least now i have all the guild/faction abilities and weapons unlocked. i kinda ran around gathering loot, searching for fragments, pages, and treasures, and then buying everything up. hopefully that will make it easier for me to get the sage trophy.

the one thing i felt i was struggling the most with was the combo kill streak one. i swear, there were times where i was sure i got a combo kill streak, but it didnt count. it seems like they were so much easier in brotherhood. i dunno if the timing has changed significantly, or im just like all mixed up. :-s i had gotten it up to 8, just sorta half trying. and then yesterday, i was going for my last 2, and i couldnt get a flow going. or when i thought i did it correctly, for some reason it didnt count :-\

anyway, glad to be done with the majority of them, so now i can focus on gettin thru the story
