Ezio or Altair?

altair really the series barely stretches the surface of the master of assassins

Altair may have wrote the show by being Ezio's Ancestor's and one of the first Assasin leaders but Ezio runs the show. Everything about him is likeable: His humour, his accent, his name, his pesistance to not give up on the search for truth and a blood-thristy hunger that no-one can out-beat. Yep, definitely one of a kind. By the way, he is always positive about achieving his goals and one hell of a ladies man.

Ezio, even taking into account the other AC games

Until revelations Altair has little to know personality even durring bloodlines he wasnt really an interesting character unlike Ezio who is full of personality. I would have liked to have another go at Altair especially after seeing him in action in revelations

Agreed, I don't think there is enough information on Altair to really make it a contest! I would definitely love one more game with him where they really develop him. I did like his cocky attitude in the beginning of AC1, but other than that nothing else really shines about him.

So Ezio probably, I like Desmond, but once again we haven't really played as him enough to make him out-shine Ezio.

Per the original question, before revelations I'd choose Altair, after revelations, Ezio. Old Ezio is far superior and far less annoying to me than young Ezio
