I really enjoyed the multiplayer in Brotherhood but Revelations made matchmaking and giving newbies two default sets to start out with abilities as opposed to starting without them.

One MP mode that I do not like is the one where you have to lock on the other assassin before they lock on you. I only played it twice but I really didn't enjoy not knowing who I could attack and when I did lock on they escaped because I locked on too early. I just sum it up to not giving that game mode a chance or because I am just too used to the compass.

Also how do you avoid getting hit by the tripwire? Especially if you set it up right in front of a bench. I have used this tactic when I am being hunted and never get killed because it can stun multiple hunters. I was just wondering if there is a countermeasure against this.
You can set off a tripwire bomb without getting caught in it by walking close to but not quite into its range, a little experimentation/practice and you'll be able to do it all the time. I don't like Assassinate either, it's a broken mode if you ask me, although you can score pretty high if you know what you're doing. Deathmatch or Wanted is what I find the most fun.

SP actually was another of the 'same' for me, throwing a little 'sauce' here and there for good measure. About MP, it was really fantastic, far better than ACB's, and much easier trophies.

never played AC:B cause of all the bad remarks ive had about it, plus you can buy it used for like £4 so it must be pretty bad :S
but i really enjoyed AC:R after i finished the story, and ended up getting plat but still doesnt even compete with ACII.

I'd still play ACB if I were you, if you enjoyed Revelations. The ACB SP is better than ACR, and even MP is still good, although I'd say I like ACR MP a bit better because of a few new mechanics like honorable death and Deathmatch mode.

yeah i was thinking of getting it so id have all 3 AC plats but whats putting me off is the multiplayer, ive heard its really bad and the online trophies can take ages.
if i bought the game and went to get all MP trophies before startin the story how long would it take to get all online trophies? and would i need to boost some?

Honestly I don't think the MP is that bad. What did you think of ACR's MP? It's not that much different, with a couple exceptions. Just takes a little getting used to it.

I think it took me about 21 hours playing Wanted on MP to legitimately get to level 50 (the highest) and get the Download Complete trophy. This number will vary with skill and luck with the lobbies etc. The rest of the online trophies aren't that hard and will likely come naturally while playing, that's my experience anyway. The only exception to that are 2 trophies: Role Model and Abstergo Employee of the Month but they can both be boosted in private matches (there's still lots of people doing this currently, check the ACB boosting thread). Lots of people boost to level 50 also, though I didn't, and if you do that the time is shorter. But I actually enjoyed the game and wanted to get there legitimately.

yeah i didnt mind AC:R MP but it did get a little boring and once i got to level 20 i didnt bother playing again, i was looking at the AC:B forums and seen all the bitching, i might wait till AC3 comes out first then pick up AC:B to have all 4 plats.

Only thing is will the ACB servers still have people playing if you wait that long? Once AC3 and its MP get rolling, I'm not sure ACB will still be active since ACR will be around also....?? Who knows.... just food for thought.

Yeah, I wouldn't wait around until AC3 is out to get the plat for AC:B. Good chances the servers are either dead or closed by then.

And truth is, if you have a good team with you when going for AEOTM and Role Model those can be boosted in a pretty short amount of time (less than 2 hours), depending on how many bonuses you allready have.

Oh, and DO keep count of which bonuses you achieve, because there is no way to check it in the game menu. Made me spend ~2 hours more than I needed cause I didn't know what was the last bonus I needed.

I believe in that too. ACB's MP is fading every day.
