I've come to the conclusion that playing the ACR beta is actually bad for your ACB skills.

Seriously, I have played the beta non-stop the weekend it was first released to the Uplay members and the first time I switched back to Brotherhood, I played horribly because I kept trying to stun my pursuers like I did in the ACR beta, where stunning has gotten insanely overpowered.

And the other way around is true, too: you cannot play Revelations the way you played Brotherhood. At least not the top players who like to be aggressive with Poison/Disguise and a lot of free-running. That playing style will no longer get you top scores in Revelations, simply because the reverse detection meter will give you crappy points if you only stay close to your target for a second. Also, Poison has become almost useless now that poisoned targets will be able to stun you until the moment they die.

It's going to be interesting to see what Ubisoft will tweak for the final release.

Oh, one final thing that has been bugging me about the Beta.

You can no longer play with a fixed team of three friends and end up on the same team in Manhunt. In Brotherhood, you could create a group of four players and always be on the same team. Which makes sense, because that's why you create a group, right?

But since Revelations no longer requires at least six players to start a game, what happens is that now, you and your three friends will be auto-balanced and you will end up on different teams. Kinda defeats the purpose of "team" games, I think. They absolutely must do something about this.

I do have to agree with u on that. Played Revelations Beta and u can stun someone easily but with the Brotherhood it is nearly impossible because when u try to stun someone they will bet u to it and kill u first before u get to stun. U will be in a stun position and getting to stun someone but by the time u react ur dead.

Same here. The maps in the Beta are huge, perhaps too much so. And the color palette is so muted everything looks the same, even the different characters. Maybe it's just a matter of getting used to it, but in Brotherhood I can pretty much instantly spot a pursuer coming. In the ACR Beta I sometimes don't even see them until I get a knife in my chest.

I hope the retail version of the game has a Training Mode where you can play any of the maps on your own (or maybe with bots like CoD: Black Ops), so you can explore at your own leisure. That's something that I miss in Brotherhood and the main reason why I still don't fully "get" the Alhambra map that I rarely see because I usually don't play DLC 3.0 games. I know every inch of all the other maps and that helps a lot during matches.

Currently it quite looks like the Training Ground (locked in the beta) will fulfill your wish to be able to explore maps on your own. hopefully thats what the TG means .

I enjoyed it. It's a little different than ACB multi, but I think overall most of the changes have been for the good. I'm sure Ubi understands a lot of people still don't care for multi in an AC game... but for those of us that do, esp. the ones that toughed it out to 50, I hope they continue to make some decent decisions as far as content and balancing goes.

One thing I would have liked to see in the beta though was giving more access to good abilities, and earlier on. And I'm not sure I like this currency thing... it can be a real pain to try and set up a decent profile right away. The game is just as unforgiving as ever to new players, and I'm sure that didn't help with the # of beta players consistently playing.

Agreed. When I got to level 50 on the second day of the Beta, I didn't even have enough Abstergo Credits to fill all my profiles with the abilities and perks and streaks that I wanted, let alone have enough to buy those different clothing options.
