So, after hearing about Tales of Vesparia not coming to the US, I thought I would ask about this and see if were going to get screwed on both ends.
I own both the first and second, so I don't know why they wouldn't release it here, after getting the others. Any info on this? |

There have been no official announcements about a US Release.

Tales of Vesperia is available, in English... but on the Xbox 360. :P
Ar Tonelico I and II were localized/translated courtesy of NIS America, but unfortunately, NIS saw a 97.5% decline in operating profit for the first 9 months of the fiscal year, and their stock followed suit w/ a 20% dive (Source). I wouldn't be surprised if they're treading carefully w/ both their domestic and international initiatives right now.

The President of NISA has mentioned that he absolutely loves Ar tonelico including NISA's fans, and plus since this is a trilogy series with the story connecting to each game and that Ar tonelico II even had hints at the end of the game towards what will happen in Ar tonelico III, so it wouldn't make sense to not localize the 3rd game if the 1st 2 came stateside. Plus it's a Gust title and we know that NISA loves Gust. It'll definitely be a long wait though before we receive it but we will most definitely will get it, it's just a matter of when.
Ar tonelico II took like almost 15 months to be available in American stores but it happened(even if it was a rushed attempt that needs better localization but i'm sure they learned their mistakes and will try their absolute best to make Ar tonelico III an excellent localization as possible even if we have to wait 15 months from Japanese release or even 2 years). This is why I imported it and then will play it in English when it arrives probably next year. This game is so amazing. The battle system is like Tales of Vesperia or Star Ocean but in Ar tonelico style. Last edited by Shuffle; 04-08-2010 at 11:45 AM. |

Aside from Ar Tonelico 3, Atelier Rorona, Tales of Vesperia (which *is* available on the Xbox) and Tears to Tiara, what amazing games are we missing out on in English? In the grand scheme of things, it really is a drop in the bucket, imo.

I didn't say we did. I said we had Tales of Vesperia in English on the Xbox 360.
