wel a few days ago i ordered this game and i can recieve it any time now. i did order it because it was rpg but after i ordered it saw some youtube vids. where there where comments that sayed this game is for pedofils. is that true? the girl in the game sure looks young. let me know ur opinions. but if its true i probably not gonna play it.

It's really not that bad, there's a certain purge scene with Finnel I find a little questionable, but thankfully you can just turn those scenes off. Otherwise I wasn't particularly vexed by anything else I saw, there's more big booby anime ladies (Hello, Sarapatra and Rihka) to lil' lolita pander-bait, for all your well adjusted hetro manly needs.

But yeah, maybe not a good idea to play in front of friends or family with the stereo cranked, you might get odd looks.

I'm not a pedophile, but I really love all 3 games in the series. I enjoy them because the story is great, characters are likable, gameplay is good, music is beautiful, and it's unique and even very original.

But honestly never go by what people say on Youtube and just form your own opinion since their opinions are not yours and so you may love it while others don't just because it's not like some shooter type game or something like that.

People say every JRPG is for pedophiles but that's because they're not into those type of games and don't fully understand them and so they usually post on Youtube or someplace like that and just say something stupid when they haven't even played the game.

There is nothing sexually explicit, just a lot of innuendo and fan service.
Remember that this rated PEGI 12 in Europe, so it's rather mild.

dont forget i just started with playing jrpg. if they look mature its kk (in the book sometimes they say shes 23 like vanille in ff13 and then its kk) but in my opinion its pretty sick if they look like 13 year and almost not wearing something. i wil at least try it out and then decide if i keep playing further

What you do is go to the Main Menu, go to System, and choose Purge movie to off. It will disable when the Purge clips would normally appear for all characters including non-lolis.

Lots of anime and JRPG charaters look younger than they appear to be because it's the same way with real Japanese people,

Well, I just youtubed this game out of sheer curiosity and at a glance it definitely perpetuates some of the stereotypes I have regarding the Japanese infatuation with underage sex.

I mean, seriously, I'm a big proponent of sex, but putting the face of a prepubescent child on a disproportionally large-breasted, scantily clad body sure makes me feel a bit uncomfortable.

Well when you see the Purge Ready during battle, press a trigger button on your controller like R2, R1, L1, or L2 while shaking it with the Sixaxis feature. If you time it right by hitting 1 of the red beats, you should see a clip that shows the Reyvateil persona you're using to lose 1 to 3 layers of clothing from gathering energy from the planet.

Lolis usually refer to anime/manga/game girl characters who are young, underage and are attractive as well as cute. Sometimes a loli may be in a perverted situation(but not always).

Lolicon aka lolita complex refers to people who are really into stuff like that. While some people can become a pedophile for real life little girls while others will just stick with animated lolis. Though I suppose there are some series where you can enjoy having lolis in it but not get a single perverted thought.

With the increase of lolis however, once you play enough Japanese games, watch enough anime, and read enough manga, you pretty much get used to it to the point where you don't think much of it since there's so many series with lolis.

The 1st 2 Ar tonelico games didn't really have a loli feel to it. Well even Ar tonelico Qoga only has a slight loli feel. While Misha did have that loli form in the 1st game, she also had a non-loli true form. 2nd game as well as the 3rd has Cocona who's basically 1 of the youngest characters in the series besides Sasha but doesn't really make it feel like the series is full of lolis. Finnel in this 3rd game has a little less loli feel to her than like say Saki.
