Japan doesn't do itself any favors by being one of the only counties to devot time and resources to animated sex symbols, but alot of the perceptions we have about it being driven by pedofila is probably because its one of the most hienous possible crimes in westen society as well and our media is diffentely super touchy on the sex symbol issue when its not flat and traditional.

Lolis usually refer to anime/manga/game girl characters who are young, underage and are attractive as well as cute. Sometimes a loli may be in a perverted situation(but not always).

Though I suppose there are some series where you can enjoy having lolis in it but not get a single perverted thought.

With the increase of lolis however, once you play enough Japanese games, watch enough anime, and read enough manga, you pretty much get used to it to the point where you don't think much of it since there's so many series with lolis.

The 1st 2 Ar tonelico games didn't really have a loli feel to it. Well even Ar tonelico Qoga only has a slight loli feel. While Misha did have that loli form in the 1st game, she also had a non-loli true form. 2nd game as well as the 3rd has Cocona who's basically 1 of the youngest characters in the series besides Sasha but doesn't really make it feel like the series is full of lolis. Finnel in this 3rd game has a little less loli feel to her than like say Saki.

I don't really watch any anime or manga or anything like that (I've always preferred cartoons like Gargoyles and Disney movies, etc) but I've always enjoyed RPGs, be they turn based, strategy or real time for their stories and character interactions.

Because I live in Australia, I haven't had the chance to experience many though because they were either not released here or were on PS2 and I didn't know they existed. So this who concept of lolis and stuff is all new to me, haha. I'll pretty much just ignore any of the inappropriate stuff (not that I've seen much so far in any games I've played).

wel the vendor who selled it didnt send it up and now i wont get it. i see its in my gamestore now. but i think change is very small i really gonna buy it. (i already lost 40 euro because that vendor). i still have the feeling it isnt right

Either way everyone have there own perspective on stuff if u liked it and enjoyed it good for if you didn't then just find something else you can enjoy playing , am an anime fan & i played this game and really liked it.

tbh u can still enjoy this game by focusing ur playing on older character in the game and if you are locked with younger character you can just turn the purge scenes off if it really bother .

Loli can also be used to describe a older girl who looks like they are signficantly younger. Often in anime/games they are short and have a small bust making them look 5-10 years younger while in reality being 18+. Its often why in visual novels there will be a bar on the back, front, and usually something in the manual saying "All girls in this game are 18+".

In regards to Cocona in the 2nd game, its hard to give her a loli feel since she served as a vanguard character and gave off more a "little sister" feel, specially with her and Croix's interactions.

I would say the genesis of this topic wasn't so much directed at Cocona but probably Finnel and her purge animations, although in the end shes probably not short enough plese the loli fans :P

wel yes that was what worried me. i just recieved this game (today) and will turn of the purge animations.
