The Trophy Score League

Taking a cue from our sister site, welcome to the Trophy Score League (TSL). We hope that this will be the first of many to come. This is a two month, team competition to earn as many trophies as you can. The team with highest score (we'll get to that) at the end of the two months, wins. Many of the rules have made their way over from x360a, so those of you who have played before, you're familiar with them. Some rules have been tweaked a bit, but most are the same.

Before we get started with the rules, you should know who is going to be managing this. We have selected two members to become the TSL Directors. They will be scoring, answering questions, managing the sign ups and monitoring the trophies ensuring they are all earned legitimately. Congratulations to our TSL Directors, Dagger and jcstahl.

So, let's get to it shall we...

What you need to know:

1. NO WHINING!!! NO COMPLAINING!!!
2. Sign ups begin when the TSL Directors create the sign up thread and will be held in The Arena forum. Sign ups last for two weeks with the launch of TSL being February 1.
3. Sign ups conclude at 12 PM GMT on January 31. TSL will begin at 12 AM GMT on February 1 and will end at 12 AM GMT on April 1. There are no breaks or off time in the competition. It's a trophy hunting marathon.
4. In order to participate, you MUST be able to connect to PSN. If you can only play offline, there is no way to verify your trophies.
5. Teams are made up of four members. You are allowed and encouraged to make your own teams, but there is one restriction. Each team member needs to have at least 100 non-spam posts. There are no substitutions allowed. If someone flakes on you or their PS3 breaks, please refer to Rule #1. Please, make sure to name your own teams. Just don't make it anything vulgar, offensive or extremely long.
6. You can sign up as an individual to compete in two different ways. One is to be placed onto a team. Just after signups end, the TSL Directors will be filling out any team that is short or making teams of random members. You can also decide to compete as an individual. While you may not be able to end up in first place, we have another award to give out.
7. Here's how the scoring works. A trophy is not a trophy. Trophies have different values associated with them. =4 points. =3 points. =2 points. =1 point. This is the point system we've used on the site in our trophy lists. Each team member's points will be added together and a cumulative score will be given.
8. Site awards (which will be revealed later) will be given to each member of the winning team. There is also the MVP award. This is given to either the member with the highest individual score or to the member on the winning team with the highest individual score. Which one is something that will be decided by the TSL Directors. Refer to Rule #1 if you don't happen to win it.

The most important things you need to know:

• You MUST sync your trophies the day before TSL begins. This gives us a starting point. You also MUST sync your first trophy earned after 12 AM GMT on Feb. 1. After syncing, you will send a PM to either TSL Director informing them of what trophy that is and when you earned it. That will be the first trophy you earn for the competition. If you fail to do so, you will be suspended from the competition until your trophies can be verified. In the event that you unlock multiple trophies at the same time (getting the last trophy in a game and the platinum trophy for example), you HAVE to inform one of the TSL Directors that your first trophy was actually two. They will check the time stamps and verify that. Please do NOT sync you trophies again until you've heard back from either TSL Director.
• All of the precautions in the previous rule are to prevent people from piling up trophies and syncing them after the competition begins to give them an initial boost. Fortunately, Sony gives us time stamps (which you can't fake). Anyone who tries to do this will be removed from TSL and your team will be left shorthanded.
• If you attempt to use a game save or a hack to get trophies, you will be removed from the competition and reported to Sony. In addition to that, your entire team will be removed from TSL and you will be banned from future site competitions (this includes contests, giveaways, gaming nights, TSL, and anything else we come up with) as well as the Maximum Clubs. Don't try it. Remember, we know what we're looking for.
• If you do anything that violates Sony's Terms of Service (game saving, account sharing, game sharing), then you and your entire team will be removed from the competition and will be banned from all future site competitions.
• You HAVE to use your main PSN account. No funny business with second accounts. If you've already played Hannah Montana on your PSN account, sorry, you're out of luck.
• Please keep in mind, while this is a competition, it's all for fun.

Very cool guys. Good luck to Dagger and jc you guys have quite a task ahead of you. I can't wait for this one to start the other 2 competitions I was shut out so hopefully I can get some points on the board this time around. I also have a backlog to go through so hopefully this competition lights a fire under my ass.

Well good luck to the competitors. I wont be joining due to the lack of games. I think I've gotten 5 trophies in the past 2 months lol. So I would only drag my team down. Once again good luck.
