Woah, calm down

One thing I think we need (but I know will never ever be implemented, so I'm not going to bother trying. Only voicing my opinion) is post/time restrictions on boosting threads. So sick of only seeing people with less than 30 votes or only being here less than a month using the boosting threads and screwing everyone over, leaving once they get what they need. I'd like to see a 100 post limit and member for 3 months limit on the boosting threads.

Again. I know it won't be done, and I know why it won't be done. So don't crucify me...

That's a nice idea but I don't think it'll work.
I joined this forum because I was able to post on the boosting threads since I joined. If I wasn't able to post there the first time I found this forum I don't think I would have returned.

I agree. Its too bad they wont do this, since i dont see anything wrong with raising the limit from 10 to 100. I am sure some people wont like it, but it would certify that these people are actually team players

Maybe instead of posts, there was another way to judge if these people are trustworthy. IDK what else we can measure, but anything to certify these people.

Hmm i can see that. Like i said, if we cant gauge these people by posts made, then measure something else.

Yea, I know. That's exactly why it won't be done...

There is no 10 post restriction in place. Anyone can join up today and only ever post once in the boosting threads and then bugger off forever. This site has over 135,000 members. But guess how many active members. 15,000. A little bit more than 10% of all members are actually considered "active". I'm willing to bet that a large portion of the remaining 90% are abusers of the boosting thread system.

Oh well. No point in complaingin about it. It will never be implemented. There will never be any restrictions (posts or otherwise) on the boosting threads, and can see, from the admin's point of view, why it won't be implemented.

But we can choose who to boost with, we don't have to boost with people who join up the same day they post in these threads. We can just choose to boost with known members of the site, with a good reputation. Or, get our trophies first so that they can't leave once they get theirs
