Guess I'm in the extreme minority then.

I bought it. It went (new, not used) down to 9.99 at EB. I figured it cant be THAT bad.

I played a total of 1 scene, maybe 4 minutes. Could not stomach the graphics, CONTROLS, or gameplay.
This game is like drakes fortune without budget, good engine, good textures, good acting, good testing, good coding, or good...anything. If you send me an SAS envelope, I will give you this game, otherwise I'm shooting it with a potato gun to see how well blu-ray stands up to scratches.

Edit, its probably a few bucks to mail it - its not worth it - unless you teach a seminar on bad game design.

This game is pretty bad, I rented it and wouldn't recommend someone to buy it for more than 10€ maybe 15€. Platinum is easy but can get annoying due to some very tedious trophies (both gold unfortunately).

I picked it up for 15 bucks a while ago, I have to say while there are alot of problems with the game, it also has alot of really cool ideas. I ended up having to play it twice for platinum, but in the end, I have to say I liked it.

Its far from a perfect game, but i have played more polished games that were much worse. At least Alone in the Dark had fun things to do and cool ideas.

What did some of you not like in particular?

Well, I disliked everything except the sad and gloomy mood in desert Central Park at night.

Graphics, sound, gameplay, story, characters, puzzles, enemies (except the museum one), everything was pure garbage in my opinion.

It's average, some parts are fun, some tedious. The trophies are super easy to get and for 15.99 used the price was right. The game wasn't scary in the least, which was a bit of a bummer.
