Super Mario 64 DS is a good bet, and will be slightly easier to play on the 3DS thanks to the circle pad. You don't get full analog control, but it's still easier to run around using the circle pad than the d-pad. Kirby Squeak Squad is probably worth it if the price is low. I don't remember how much content was in that game, but you usually can't go wrong with Kirby (Amazing Mirror and Epic Yarn being the exceptions to that). Golden Sun Dark Dawn? It's okay. Not nearly as good as the GBA titles, but still a decent game. Just be prepared to be very disappointed in how the story plays out. Whole damn game felt like a sidequest to me. |

Forgot about Star Fox 64 3D, but that's $39.99 too... hmm
Still thinking over Golden Sun being added to the list and I'm going to try and decide between Super Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart, and Star Fox Quote:
As for Golden Sun, yeah, that's because I liked the original two on GBA. Just kinda looking for a game with some depth, i.e. an RPG. I believe Final Fantasy III is also on the DS, so that's an option too. Last edited by Veritas7Ax; 12-27-2011 at 09:52 PM. |

I bought one on Launch and have never regretted it, sure the launch line-up was weak but Super Street Fighter IV lasted me until Resident Evil Mercenaries and i still play that now! Ive played that more than most of my PS3 games, 60 hours and still going strong. Some DLC would be nice but i dont think it will happen now.
I just bought Mario Kart 7 the other day, not played it much yet but i did a few races and i really like it so far. Resident Evil Revelations is a must have for me and i would buy a 3DS for it if i didint have one already. The 3DS is a great device, its only going to get better. If you see games you like for it then go out and get one. If not then i wouldnt bother. Its worth buying if you have the use for one. I needed a new handheld, i dont have an Iphone/pod/pad and i needed something to play games on while on the move. Also this being a PS3 site expect a few people to have a few digs at the device... As for the name, it's nothing more than a huge marketing failure. It should not be called 3DS. It should be called DS2 or DS Advance or just about anything else in the world other than 3DS. Nintendo dun goofed. |

I think the 3DS hurting people's eyes is for certain people.
Some people get seizures for flashy bright images. Some people, I'm one of them, can't play a fast paced first person game cause I get sick from the camera. But my eyes can tolerate the 3D effect. And I'm loving Mario 3DS how he jumps off the screen at you or how during high jumps you can really see yourself falling far cause of the depth. With the Tanooki power up or helicopter head powerup floating down feels really great. I say check out any display models and play with it to see if it hurts your eyes or makes you sick. Cause the 3D effect can be really nice to enjoy and sets apart your 3DS from anything else out there. Last edited by Kahalachan; 12-29-2011 at 09:15 AM. |
