Is it worth the buy?

Hey guys,
I was on youtube earlier today and I saw a video review of this game
I didn't even know that they made an AVP game
so I saw the review which was by Gamespot and the guy cricized every bit of the game but it looked cool to me
So, is it worth it if i wanna buy it?

I bought it and I loved it

I'd recommend it if only for the single player campaigns on nightmare. The multiplayer can be annoying trying to find games but in all, I'd say buy it

It is a great game that received some ridiculously asinine reviews. (I'm looking at you GameInformer)

The campaign was a blast, with three totally different campaigns, one for each of the races. The multiplayer is pretty fun when it works, but the matchmaking is pretty bad, but at least they patched it to keep a lobby running between games.

Good luck if you decide to play Nightmare difficulty on the campaigns. Predator was pretty easy, Alien was moderate to difficult at the end, but the Marine campaign was probably the hardest trophy I've ever had to earn. Well worth it though.

I hated this game! The truth is the campaigns are fun, until you try the marine nightmare campaign. The marine nightmare mode is brutal. Any true gamer will appreciate the challenges it poses. The main problem with this game is the multiplayer glitches. And they are numerous. THE WORST OF WHICH IN MY OPINION IS THE SCORING SYSTEM GLITCH. It is truly f$^@ed.
I should add that this game has the ability to actually instill moments of fear. I know, it sounds crazy but there were times when i was actually scared of being killed by an invisible Predator or a fast moving Alien.

I got this game from my old work when I changed jobs.

It ain't all bad, shame it's so empty on mp.

And with sp, it's average, only got a few times a bit sick playing as the Alien. Annoying screen turning when you're upside down.

I would definitely recommend checking out your local gamestop if you're in the states...I picked the game up for only $30...I do agree with you matlock, the game is a bit freaky at points especially when you only have that measly worthless flashlight and your radar starts goin bonkers.
