6/10 from me.
Elite difficulty isn't too bad if you don't rush it. Coop trophies were frustrating due to the non stop aliens, I got them done first time but it felt like a grind in places just constantly using up ammo. A great game overall highly recommended

For me it was a 3, almost a 2. I started game on Elite difficulty, and it was way easier than i thought. None of the trophies gave me any trouble. Maybe the game felt so easy because I just recently played Dead Nation on morbid difficulty.
Great game, shame that story mode wasnt playable on coop mode. Last edited by mzg; 01-27-2011 at 11:27 AM. |

Alien Breed: Impact platinum difficulty- 4
I don't have the platinum yet but this thing is a breeze. It's a pretty decent game with an I'm not missing a thing if I don't play it storyline. Make up your own as you go! Much more "funner". For anyone having trouble getting someone to co op with you, don't bother. The control port switch "trick" works. Last edited by Rubbercons; 02-02-2011 at 08:29 AM. |

Gave it a 4. Only hard thing is to make sure you follow the road map and get all the credit and selling items trophies on your first run and to connect to an online partner.

Gave this a 5. Overall, the only really hard trophy is Hard to Kill because you need a competent partner. Luckily I had one and we got the trophy on medical after 3 tries. Anyone who somehow does Hard to Kill the solo method to me is a god because I tried it several times and got massacred.
Now the other problem with this game is how opposite the trophies ask you to be. By that I mean they often ask you to do one thing and the opposite for another trophy. For Elite Force, you have to not take damage but for Tank you need to take a lot of damage (which I got despite dying several times so I don't know why). Fighting Light can also be fairly annoying and I just did it on a second rookie run through of level 1 to avoid extra frustration because I was more familiar with enemy spawns. For Elite, I basically saved a bunch of Hardened Armors for the last 2 levels and on level 4 I used 1, giving me 4-6 for level 5. Elite is not very difficult if you play on rookie first because you know where the enemies spawn from and how to deal with them. My biggest problem with the game is that even with waypoints, it was easy to get lost which was frustrating. Its not a bad game but its not a good game either. Its just very average with a few frustrating trophies. Based on this game, I have no intention of playing the other Alien Breed games. |

I found this game to be a huge pain in the ass.
Played through on Rookie with no problems but missed one log and one secret item. Of course they were both on level 5 so I was stressing having to play through a third time after I beat it on Elite. Beat the game on Elite, and it took me a while. Luckily I was smart enough to abuse the hell out of the save stations and would often save after every major fight. As the game went on, I found it a lot easier, but that was probably because I upgraded the Assault Rifle damage and Health Packs. Before that I was having a rough time of it. This is when I adopted the "fall back" strategy. I would lure the enemies down a small corridor and just unload on them in a line. First time I tried the Co-op level I lasted all of 2 minutes. So I figured I would have to slow it down. A lot. Well, second time I lasted 15 minutes. Third time I basically crawled like a snail, combed every section for armor and weapons and was able to finish it. (yes, I did the co-op solo using the controller trick) Did the Hydroponic level with the handgun and 3983 deaths. Lastly, I had to the do the last level without using a health pack. Easy enough since by then, I was a master at the game, knew where to go, had plenty of money for upgrades, Armor and Ammo, and was able to rip the shit out of the enemies before they were even on screen. It was a little annoying to find out I couldn't save during free play. No big deal, right? I was excited to be done with this game and earn another platinum trophy. Got the third turbine fired up, and headed to the final boss. Imagine my surprise when the game froze. FROZEN. Right before the last boss. No saves meant I had to start the whole dame level over. And there I was, glad to finally be done with this game, but had to play the last stage one last time. Again. I dont think my Playstation would have survived the beating it would have received if it crashed again, so it let me have my platinum. Interesting how it only crashed once, and that one time was the worst possible. Well, I guess it would have been worse during my co-op run... All that makes me vote this game a 6/10. Screw this game.
