So I have never played any of the Alien Breed games, but they look like Dead Nation from the game play I see. Dead Nation was challenging for me, but I was able to get the platinum. Are these games easier or harder than Dead Nation or are they just a lot different?

I platted Alien Breed 1-3 and Dead Nation. I can't really say that they are exactly the same, except for the fact that they are shooters
Alien Breed took a bit longer to play since I had to hunt for collectibles and the areas got to be a little claustrophobic. AB allows you to rotate the screen while DN does not. Both are very very fun games tho and obviously have .IMHO Dead Nation's controls are more manageable. Play all 3 AB's! Sometimes basic shooter games are a fun way to relax. |

Alien Breed 1 and 3 are manageable on Elite difficulty if you hold back and take things slowly. If you've had experience with Dead Nation on Grim or Mrobid however, then you'll probably already know that. There are a few tough spots, but overall, I'd say that they are easier than DN.
Alien Breed 2 on the other hand is definitely the hardest of the three, mainly because of the Elite speedrun. You can't hang back because you need to complete it in just 4 hours, which means all of your previous tactics need to go out of the window. Then there's the online trophies for completing a level without firing a shot or taking any health damage. You'll need a good co-op partner for those ones. So, my final verdict? AB 1 & 3 - Easier than Dead Nation AB 2 - Harder |
