So on the 1st AB forum I asked if these games where harder or easier than Dead Nation and I got some good responses. My question now is how do these 2 games compare? Would you say they play similarly? I guess I am asking if I will like the Alien Breed series? I really enjoyed Dead Nation. The platinum was very challenging, but fun. Never played the AB series, but looking at some gameplay videos they look similar to DN.

Yes, it plays exactly like Dead Nation does with regards to the birds-eye view and movement. Obviously the environment and controls are different, but apart from that, it's pretty similar in nature.

Dead Nation has far more enemies than the Alien Breeds. Dead Nation frequently leaves you feeling overwhelmed. Alien Breed is more objective based, where Dead Nation is non-stop killing. They are very similar, but there is a distinct difference.
Main game (especially hardest modes), Dead Nation is much harder. However, there are some trophies that involve some pretty tough co-op requirements for Alien Breed trophies. Just hope that you have a decent co-op partner, because they really can't be done alone (the co-op time-based ones).

I've played a portion of AB3, but I really didnt care for it. Quite a bit harder than DN in my opinion. And if I remember correctly, you have to use L1 & R1 to turn the screen, which got annoying pretty quickly. On the other hand, I actually enjoyed Dead Nation. Thought the coop was pretty fun, when you could actually get a solid connection. The larger groups of Z's could feel overwhelming at times, but the game wasnt overly difficult. EDIT: my bad, didnt realize how old this thread was. thought you were the OP
