If your looking for an easy plat, this is not to be underestimated, although story mode is fairly short and straight forward, the challenges can be difficult for some, and will require numerous tries to achieve Platinum rating in each single 1. I had no trouble with sword & side-cart challenges, but the plane challenges can be very difficult. I have tips below for them. Also the trophy supersonic parrot may require a few tries, i did it 3:18s. I give this game an 5.5/10 for difficulty.
I did the plane challenges & i now have the plat in this game. By far the hardest in the game are the challenges. My tips. 1. For going through the rings make good use of the boost, in straights, when there is a sharp bend or turn, do not use boost. But if your going straight use boost past the boost meter bar, then press X again to get a quicker boost. Its all about timing. 2. Collect the flags as fast as you can, do not waste time shooting other objects. The secret in this one is again to make good use of the boost bar by timing it. Wasting 1 boost bar or even miss timing it, you will fall short of the required target. If you get the plane's turbo boosting right, you can collect all the flags quickly. The flag challenges are hard, will take a few tries. 3. This one do NOT waste time searching for planes. just stay were you are and shoot as many as you can, the closer you get to the planes quicker they will blow up.. Easiest of all the challenges. |

Is there a way getting a visible timer for the "Supersonic Parrot" trophy? Cheers, Snef. EDIT: I can confirm that learning to use your turbo correctly is the way to beat these challenges.

Picked this game up yesterday at Best Buy - $15 after discount and reward zone coupons. The co-op is fun and the kids like playing it with me.
Ripped through the sword and side car challenges quickly, but these plane challenges are a pain Thanks for the guide and tips

By the way, points for shooting objects increases after every delivered flag. For that for me the best way was to concentrate on fast delivering the first three flags and then watch out for a good chance to shoot objectives during the next three flags. Very hard challenges in my opinion. Can´t confirm this. As another one already mentioned flying circles to search planes is ok as long as you make use of the boost. I would not have get enough points without searching for planes. |

The challenges in this game certainly are what they set out to be.
I work my arse off in them, just to get a bronze or silver. Still, I saw this guide's got tips on them so I'll read them when I get the chance. If it weren't for the challenges, all I'd need were the easy crabs for the .
