A question: does the number/strength of enemies in each wave change depending on how many players there are in the match? e.g. if you play with 4 people, is it the same opposing force as if you went at it alone?
Also: What happens if someone quits the game - can the other continue on and still get the trophy? I imagine if the person hosting the game quits, it'll end it for everyone...

It's only if the host quits the match. Anybody else that quits won't effect the game. It happens all the time in versus so I beleive it would be that same for extraction. I really wouldn't know since that game would lose connection to the host or something with the servers.
