These circuits are extremely difficult, yet extremely useless to the game.
I have mad respect for those who have the Platinum pre-patched or EU version... Quote:

![]() As for making sure you don't miss any events, follow EgHeadFool's guide over on Gamefaqs to the letter, double & triple checking everything, and make multiple saves. Every time you go to the FROM cave and there are more people there, you should definitely make a new save file, and reload that if there are no new people there the next time you visit. |

"WAAAAAAAAHHH!!! People can get five less seconds in the dash circuits now, so they get to spend only 5 hours grinding instead of 6! This game is as easy as Hannah Montana now, all these n00bs are getting my really hard trophy!" That's what you and people like you sound like. And one, you're wrong, the game still isn't all that much easier to platinum. Half a point less on the difficulty rating at most, that's it. It's still extremely hard, so get over yourselves. |

This is a bit OT, but since there's been talk about the patch and the difference in the EU and US versions...:
Does Onyx still need to be hit 300 times with the Bestiary in the EU version?

by saying that I don't like glitches and cheap exploits, I'm suddenly whining about the game becoming a joke. You just read what you want to read don't you? Anyway flame and post boost away there, I won't be responding to you again on this

Yeah I was actually following some guy on youtube because I prefer watching "Let's Play" videos than reading guides, but he just didn't do the FROM cave event! I was ![]() I just passed the Dash Circuits after about an hour and I will say that the Select spam method is WAY too much work and you're probably better off not even trying. I think it takes way more time/effort and at times your timing has to be even more precise. I obviously played post-patch, but I will say that if I can pass this, I'm sure you guys all can! Just a tip, I found using the D-Pad much more effective when completing these. Sometimes when I wanted to move a little to the left or right, I'd stop moving completely, but using the D-Pad prevented that altogether. Last edited by Y00N; 09-03-2011 at 12:11 AM. |

Just accomplished the dash circuits.
Jeez, I was sooo discouraged by reading all the comments in the forums of the Monaca Circuit being so damn hard. Got even more demotivated after seeing that I would have to beat the 60 seconds time since I got the EU version. I even left the game untouched for about a week because of that. Finally, I got myself to try those circuits and gladly it turned out not half as bad as expected. Of course, especially the Monaca Circuit is quite difficult - but far away from impossible. You just have to be a bit persistent and practice. I was able to do a 58.xx time after 1 and a half hour, and I'm usually not really good at those kind of mini-games. |

i think it just comes down to whether you can be bothered doing them. I did the EU version, and it just took time to get it right. but it comes down to whether you want the useless plat or not. for me, it's like the SF4 trials, simply cannot be bothered learning them
