Question Changing character model after starting?

So i didnt want to spend ages playing with the editor, and wanted to just dive into the game.

Playing as Frum, just beat the rattlesnake and now im contemplating making my own character.

Would i be able to switch after starting, or would i need to start a fresh game?

It asks you every time you start up if you want to change your hero.

This, however even if you say "Yes" and change your character model your name does not change. Whatever you put as your name at the beginning of the game is what NPC will refer to you by no matter who you are playing as.

I did almost the exact same thing as you, I played up to the second temple then I created a custom character. I went ahead and just started over because I was tried of the NPCs calling me "Frum", but it's up to you whether you do that or not.

One thing to note, is that you can change your stats when you change a character. I started off with a scholar but I loaded up a Hero because I wanted more HP since I had no magic attacks at the time.

Good to know. I'm in the same situation and was wondering if I could change the stats up.

This is actually useful for trophies, as you can get the Magic and Life trophies in this way.

Not true. For example, the health or magic bar wont be any different. Even for a character with highest stat it will never be FULL until you get the last piece. This means characters without stat boost will never have maxed out health/magic.

I'm not sure what you're saying, but here's what I'm looking at. I started with a scholar, and he is 3 apples short on max life, with max magic (and the trophy for magic popped). When I switched to Frum (the first hero), he is two magic's short, but only one life short.

The stats definitely change when you change characters.
