I have the EXACT same problem with my Signature Edition. I've looked up a reason why it's happening and for 2 reasons.
1) the update for the game blocked/glitched all of us.
2) that its an issue between Ubi and PSN.
Personally I believe #1. I have not done this but I plan to after my first play through.......
Delete your Revelations update and game save.
Start all over and don't accept the update.
I've heard rumor that it works but I'm so far that I don't want to start over and find out that it may not even work.
