So true. After getting the kite and throw ability, that was when it really got exciting and it carried me through out Commando difficulty.
What I think the problem is the game doesn't throw that much at you at first and you don't get the hiker long enough to really experience a better weapon. So there you have the good ole pea shooter to deal with. Which was probably intentional since it encouraged you to pluck off the headshot bonanza challenge early on.
As you progress about half way waves of grunts become an interesting challenge because you have a variety of ways to approach the situation. Do you throw a grenade, swing on in and give them a dose of adrenaline, or throw a forklift at them?
