DA:O has a better story the controls and fight system is different and if I recall it is more close fighting
DA2 story is very loose, The fighting is way better IMO. You get to watch the fight from farther (camera angle wise)
I will for sure play DA:O after I have completed DA2. The only reason I stopped playing DA:O was I got stuck in a place and did not know how to exit to next area. The map system in both games is very bad at least for the way I like to see the map. It does not rotate to your 12 o'clock view. North is always north I guess the top of the screen is north???
