How do I refer a user?
When a user signs up for the site, they can type your Username into the Referral box as shown below.
Another way to refer users that not many people know about is with a referral link. Every user has a unique link, for example mine is http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/register.php?&referrerid=59860. You'll need to change the number which is your user ID for your personal link. There are a few ways to find this out:
On the left column of every post, you'll see the following link:
Hovering over the link will reveal a URL with your User ID at the end. It must be on one of your own posts!
Another way to find out your User ID is to attempt to send a thread link to a friend. You don't have to actually send the page to see your ID. Click on Thread Tools > Email this Page.
What do the two numbers displayed on a forum mean?
The first number is the number of threads within the forum. The second is the number of posts. If a game has a DLC sub forum, there will be no numbers.
I keep seeing jailbreak ads on the homepage. Why are you condoning rule breaking ads?
We aren't. The ads are provided by an outside service. If you come across a dodgy advertisement, you should PM the following to a staff member, preferably olsen:
- A screenshot of the questionable ad.
- The URL of the ad (in Firefox, right click and Copy Link Location).
- The image URL of the ad (in Firefox, right click and Copy Image Location)
What is Game Sharing and why is it not allowed here?
Game Sharing requires you to log onto another users account and download from their downloads list, so that it will be on your system. The reason why it's not allowed should be obvious; you are getting a free copy of a non-free game thereby ripping off the developers. The 'I'm too poor' excuse is not acceptable. Requesting it will earn your a ban from the site. The same rules apply to Account Sharing and posting game saves. I submitted a Trophy List/Image. Why has it not been added?
Have some patience. Failing that, the images or list must come from the Playstation site, XMB or the Developer/Publisher site. We do not accept lists from other gaming sites. I don't like the new look. How do I change it back?
There are two ways to revert to the old skin. The first is to scroll down to the bottom of the page, click on the quick style chooser and select PS3T-Old as shown in the image below:
The other is to navigate to your
Options Page. Scroll down to the very bottom of the page, click on the forum skin dropdown box, select PS3T-Old and click on Save Changes. The homepage layout cannot be changed back to the old style.
I keep getting 503 errors while viewing a thread. Help!
If you are experiencing the above errors, delete your cookies. You will need to log back into the site again afterwards. The process for clearing your cookies varies from browser. Click

How do I change the blue silhouette located in the box at the top of the forum?
You can't, for the moment anyway. It was originally planned for your avatar to be placed there, but the area is quite a bit smaller than the maximum avatar size and would distort some users avatars if they were automatically resized.
